Popular multi-platform, multi-IM chat app, Nimbuzz, is wondering down a new road today with the announcement of their “Chat Buddy Developers Program”. The program, combined with the opening of Nimbuzz’s messenger API, is a move by the company to better cater to 3rd party companies and help them gain access to a claimed 90+ million Nimbuzz users.
A few of the companies whom Nimbuzz has already worked with include Twitter (tweeting within Nimbuzz), Wikipedia, YouTube, IMDD, Cricbuzz, and plenty more. The overall goal is to make 3rd party apps more social, interactive and of course, for developers, more profitable should they choose that route.
