Our mobile-loving friends across the pond in Germany will soon be able to wrap their hands around one of (and in our opinion) the best Android phones debuting in the next ~6 months — the HTC One XL.
The handset has already hit North American shores, unfortunately dropping the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor. But it’s not all bad. In exchange we received a super fast dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor that rivals the Tegra 3 in many instances, and more importantly, LTE. Similarly, the German version of the One X, the One XL, will also drop Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core in favor of the same dual-core Snapdragon and incorporate LTE, too. Carriers Vodafone, O2 and Duetsche Telecom are a few of the still limited carriers abroad that offer LTE service.
Other than the inclusion of LTE, the One XL is pretty much physically and cosmetically the same as the North American One X — 1.5 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, and 4.7″ screen and all. Look for it to hit the carriers mentioned above in early June, with other European carriers following
