Worked fine on my ipad3, but my iphone 3gs won’t erase. After backing up and clicking settings/erase, I get a SWOD even after 10 hours, I need my phone, so I had to reboot. Is there some way of avoiding this crazy wait time?

I did my 5th jailbreak attempt tonight after an atrocious battery eating one from yesterday. This time it appears to be working ok. iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak is by far the buggiest…ever.

iPad 2 (old version) upgraded today to 5.1.1 Computer: OS X 10.6.8

restored. then completely wiped the unit in settings>general>erase all content and settings

Absinthe 2.0.1 has been stuck at “Waiting for reboot – not done yet, don’t unplug your device” – it has been in this state for 1.5 hours. I went to the bank, came back, still in the same status

Is this the result of the Cydia servers getting hammered right now, also?

It’s very possible. The second time around it took me ~20 minutes to update Cydia initially and install a couple tweaks because of the servers.

You need to manually reboot. Just hold the power button and power down like normal. Then restart and it’ll finish the jailbreak like normal…
