It seems the iPhone Dev Team have been somewhat busy the last week or so. With a planned fix for all those with a 3GS that updated to the iPad’s 06.15 BB (causing multiple issues) will be seeing a long crappy wait finally come to an end. And for all those that are hobbling a long with a 3GS or A4 devices running the sexy beta of Apples new mobile OS, and just happen to be a developer, you have been granted access to the world of a jailbreak.
Now, it comes with many limitations, and won’t do the every day user much good, but for those that really want SSH capabilities in your phone, and that want to begin developing some tweaks and software to be compatible with iOS 6 upon release, might want to jump on board.
MuscleNerd tweeted for all to see that the jailbreak has been released, and is available on the iPhone Dev Team Blog. So if you happen to be a developer of Jailbroken apps and want to begin work early, hop on over and grab the new version of redsn0w! And as always, those wanting to preserve their BaseBand for an unlock, please stay away!
In the spirit of the “experimental ecosystem” JBers provide, we’re releasing a DEVELOPER-only tethered JB for iOS6 (no Cydia, just SSH)
