It is no secret around these parts that we love us some MacPhun apps. You can open up any page on my iPhone and see a different app, as well as see at least 2 open at all times on my Mac. Between reviews and giveaways, it seems most of you guys love em too.
Today we were slipped some big news about MacPhun’s selective color photography app, Color Splash Studio. For both OS X and iOS, we’ve loved the features and abilities we are given. Whether its coloring a Samsung fridge full of jelly beans while Mike stands drooling, or making flowers stand out in a field of green, there are tons of gorgeous results to be had.
But they’re not stopping there, come mid-July, we’ll be seeing a major update that will include adding the ability to color monochrome images. We were given much info, but we hear there will be quite a few notable upgrades.
Along with the enhancements to the app, Color Splash Studio as a name will be no more. MacPhun will be looking for the public to rename their widely popular app. Not only will you be the author of a snazzy new name, a mention in all PR materials, 10 free copies of the app, free copies of
other apps by MacPhun and $500 Gift Card!
The winner will be chosen on July 4th, so hurry up and get to thinking! You can enter your ideas at the contest’s homepage. We’ll be sure to give a mention if one of our readers happens to take home the gold! You can also pick up both apps on sale: OS X – $2.99 | iOS – $.99. Both prices will jump back up to normal after the update!
Let us know what you think of the app, and what your submitted name is in the comments!
