We’ve had some fun over the past 7 months with Snapheal. We reviewed it back in December and even did a giveaway of 5 copies back in April. It’s obvious we like it, and all of MacPhun’s apps for that matter. You can complete some hefty photo enhancements that pros use Photoshop for. If you were lucky enough to win a copy from us, or purchase it during any of the sales, you’ll know what I mean.
Yesterday I learned from MacPhun that they are planning a huge update for the app, bringing it to a 2.0 version status and adding some sweet new features. Snapheal will be receiving a sexy new UI that is more user friendly than previous version – not that it was unfriendly to the novice. Quicker and easier access to all of the selection tools, including a new swipe to adjust erasing precision. It will also be receiving a nice performance boost making it 33% more powerful. One huge feature I am stoked to see is the fact that not only can Snapheal be used as a standalone app, it will also be a plug-in for Photoshop, Aperture and Lightroom!
We will be receiving a list of all the new tools and features soon, as well as a pre-released copy where we’ll give it a good twice-over so we can let you all in on the goodies!
