If you were anticipating using iWork to store your files “in the cloud”, the time is fastly approacing. Today, Apple sent emails out informing everyone, that you should download your files off the iWork.com site. This will remove the Beta prefix to the ability to store your iWork files online, as well as signal an update of iWork coming soon be it the current version, or an updated release.
Apple was nice enough to provide all users with a simple how-to to recover your files from the site.
So what do you think — new iWork release altogether or a simple update adding the ability?
UPDATE: Some readers didn’t understand what was happening (above). Apple is shutting down iWork.com. So to clarify, iWork.com service will cease ON July 31st at 11:59PM. After the 31st you will only be able to save files within iCloud – which OBVIOUSLY means there will be some necessary updates required for the Mac Desktop iWork applications.
