Our friends over at Binary Wasteland have a nice little contest going on until September 14th. They will be giving away 5 passes to the BlackBerry Jam Conference being held in San Jose California September 25-27th.
RIM hasn’t completely died off, and must not be hurting for that much of the green to give away 5 passes to the conference, but whatever the case may be, they were kind enough to supply Binary Wasteland the goods to make 5 of you very, very happy.
There is a kicker though, travel will not be supplied by RIM or BW, so you’ll need to dig up the cash for a plan or other means. But hey, you have a free pass to conference!
Entry to the contest is crazy easy, all you’ll have to do is register on Binary Wasteland and post a comment as to why you want to attend the conference, like them on Facebook while giving them a shout on their page, and of course Tweet the link to the contest and follow them on Google+. It’s your normal social networking contest rules, so that isn’t new to anyone. The contest is only open to residents of Canada and the United States.
The BlackBerry Jam, formally known as the BlackBerry DevCon, will give developers a glimpse in to the bold new direction BlackBerry is heading with the upcoming BlackBerry 10 platform. We know that a lot of companies and even parts of the United States Government have been abandoning the BlackBerry platform for Apple’s mobile superstar, but there are still a ton of developers out there that love and care for RIM’s once-popular-now-struggling mobile platform.
We look forward to hearing what the folks over at Binary Wasteland have to report from the conference, plus those lucky 5 of you that attend. So if you have airplane miles going to waste, or live close to San Jose CA, head on over to BW and get your contest on!
