Those of you hoping to get a sweet piece of Jelly Bean action, specifically official action, on your larger than life T-Mobile branded Samsung Galaxy S 3 can no do so thanks to another leaked ROM. As the aforementioned verbiage suggests, rumor has it this is “the” update Samsung will be pushing out on August 29th to coincide with the Galaxy Note II announcement.
So far the several other Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean ROM leaks specific to the Galaxy S III over the last couple of weeks have been quite stable. That said, if you’re wiling to take the plunge this time around you’ll want to start off with a fresh, stock install of Samsung’s official Galaxy S III ROM (4.0.4). After you get to that point, point your phone to this OTA update link – Samsung Galaxy S III Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OTA – then apply the downloaded .zip file via recovery.
