Samsung, HTC and Apple routinely dominate the airwaves/internet with their latest and greatest, their tales of success, and for HTC as of late, constant missteps. But a little known (in the States anyway) player called “Vivo” has a 5.7-inch beast that might just perk your interest.

The Vivo Xplay as it’s called features a 1080p 5.7-inch display along with Qualcomm’s 600 series quad-core CPU and 2 GB of RAM, as any good flagship device should these days. Storage is what you’d expect (32 GB) and mobile photo/video enthusiasts should love the 13-megapixel (rear) and 5-megapixel (front) cameras. One other unique feature is the Texas Instruments OPA2604 amplifier that should go a long way to making audio playback (Flac supported, too) a decent step above the rest. Finally, a 3,400 mAh battery will have its work cut out for it. Android 4.2 is the name of the game.

Sadly, the U.S. is nowhere on the list of countries set to get the Vivo Xplay. Granted, even if we did, it would likely be in an unlocked flavor much closer to the $1,000 mark. And in this market at least, that ensures very few will actually pick it up, much less actually see it. Still, if you’ve got a thing for big, insanely powerful mobile hardware, you can’t help but step back and just admire the Xplay. To dream…
