So, as we have posted before, the release date for the iPad is April 3, 2010, but, the preorders have begun as of today @ 8.30a.m. EST. I've tried to get some face time with the Apple Store online and it keeps locking up for me, not sure if it is getting flooding with the elite Apple peeps out there, but it isn't working for me.
As we have said, the lucky US citizens will get theirs on the 3rd, while some other countries like Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerla...

Well, after trolling the interwebs for more info on the Steam for Mac releases this Spring, I happen to stumble on some more great news, Karl Magnus Troedsson from DICE has tweeted the follow;
Steam for Mac - Gabe, we like it!
In response to a tweet asking for a quote, he responded with;
"We're currently investigating the possibility of making BFBC2 available on Mac."
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is currently boasting more online players then the 360 and PS3 consoles COMBINED. Those are some i...

What a way to start off the GDC today, with some of the biggest news in gaming history! Yesterday Valve announced, (which is completely out of left field, lol) that they are in fact porting Steam to us Mac fanboys. After all the teaser posters we saw last week, it is finally happening! It looks that the first release will be Portal 2, which will be released to both Mac and Windows computers, and then it is on to their more popular titles this Spring.
Not only will the games work on the Mac OS...
Is “PC World” a new Macworld competitor?

Now I know PC World is not turning anytime soon. They started as a PC oriented magazine many years ago and to this day still are for the most part. Though a website with "PC" in the title and one that has had such a high focus on PC's and Windows related content declaring OS X 10.6 as the "brainiest, brawniest, and most beautiful consumer-oriented OS available anywhere" brings a chuckle to my lips. Even though Windows 7 isn't publicly available in final form yet, anyone that's a geek, espec...
CES 2010: Apple area…But not necessarily Apple itself?

According to Ars Technica and Cnet, CEA is reporting that at CES 2010 there will be an area for Apple products, however, they don't state if the "area" will include Apple itself, or 3rd party manufacturers designing add-on Apple products. The last week have been filled of rumors of Apple dumping Macworld for CES next year. Apple's main reason for leaving Macworld was that they felt consumer electronics shows were a dying thing and that since opening many new Apple stores that they could ...
Apple: “Good-bye Macworld…Hello CES!” (Rumor)

According to Gizmodo and Cult of Mac, Apple is moving from one trade show to another, (Macworld --> CES). This sounds odd because their main reason for leaving Macworld was that trade shows were "losing their purpose" more or less. With Apple opening what seems like a new Apple Store every couple of days, reaching more people locally means a big trade show appearance isn't needed. On top of that, Apple has voiced interest in doing their own type of product release events without any...

Red Eye Chicago has already started putting the paces on AT&T's strained network by testing the download times of songs on both Edge and 3G showing what we iPhoners can get used to downloading music untethered and outside of Wi-Fi networks. The test song was "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by The Police. The results? It took TiPB 1 minute and 3 seconds to download the song over 3G, while Edge puttered along a little slower taking a full 23 minutes! Both tests were conduc...

iWork.com is will allow users to create/share/edit iWork files from the cloud. When you're working on an iWork file and click the "iWork.com" button it will launch mail allowing you to email the recipient, which it pulls from address book. The recipient will see a message with a document. Clicking on the document will open up the browser and allow them to view and edit said document. Cool. Like Google Docs but with Apple flair.
