It’s been quite a while since I signed up to be notified about about Cheers, so much so that I honestly forgot about it. But today an email hit my inbox saying the new iOS app was live. If you haven’t heard of Cheers, I’ll preface this hands-on by saying it is very similar to both Oink and Stamped — “life rating” apps — with a little bit of Instagram ideology thrown in.

Let me begin this review by saying how fond of the BodyGuardz line of screen protection I am. If you follow me on Twitter, or know me, you probably already knew this. I have been using the screen protectors on both the front and back of my iPhones since the 3G days. Between the solid construction, easy application, warranty and amazing price, I’ve always been drawn to the products.
I will not be basing this review on my past experiences with BodyGuardz. Even though they have all been pleasant, I will base everything on these two individual products, both being brand new and not used by myself since CES 2012 until now.
Drop past the break to hear me ramble on what BodyGuardz is churning out in 2012…

Bliss. Sex. Harmony. Words that could be used for many things in this case are being used for…ears. No. We haven’t turned into some fetish sex blog. Instead, we’re experiencing music for the first time, all over again. But before we begin the constant word tripping, take a second, grab a snack, and follow us in after the break. If you’re at all into personal audio and music, you’re going to want to hear what we have to say…
If you have spent any time hanging out at the GS headquarters, or even read the site once in a while, by now you have probably noticed we like iPhone cases. When I say we like them, I mean we like to review the heck out of them. I personally hate iPhone cases for the pure fact it takes away from the beauty of the iPhone. But when someone sends me a case to review, I won’t say no. I’ll give em a shot and see how they stand up to my sweaty 8bit-blistered fingers day in and day out.
If you recall, a few weeks ago we were trolling the streets of Vegas and the Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center. A tiny little tech convention that goes by the name of CES was in town and we were there to not only check out the Thunder From Down-under, but to also see all the latest technology being announced. We happened by the Speck booth to see their new line of cases and see if they had anything else worthy of our magnificent eyes. We left with not only a sweet MacBook Air case, but we also left with over9000 iPhone cases. I am here to give you the lowdown on what is coming out of the Speck castle to protect your iPhone 4/4S.
Drop on in for some Specky good times and read our oh-so-nasty important thoughts…
So many headphones and so little time. Yes, we do go through quite a fair share of such things at GS HQ, but that’s because we’re audio junkies. So when we found these beauties sitting on our step the other day, we were more than excited to give them a shot.
id-America is more known for their iPhone cases than anything. But the Spark in-ear phones are a new direction for the company, and one we hope that they succeed in.
Hop past the break and see if the id-America Sparks are your next pair of earphones or simply another pretty face…

The Galaxy Nexus officially ushered in a new era for Android. Some would say, and rightfully so, that Android 4.0 is “what Android 1.0 should have been”. That statement has been echoed at least a couple of times now with the major 2.x and 3.x releases, signaling that despite constant updates and attention, Google’s love child OS still had a ways to go. But Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is more feature complete, polished, and overall more cohesive than anything else Google has ever put out under the Android brand name.
Add to that the Galaxy Nexus hardware — it isn’t the highest end product on the market. But what it does have is a tight connection between hardware and software as well as an open channel to Google for future, unhindered updates. To the biggest Android enthusiasts, that is the best feature.
You could consider myself a late bloomer when it comes to the Galaxy Nexus. A series of unfortunate events and one massive tech trade show got in the way. But it’s here. I’m ready. Let’s get to it.
During our boring time in Vegas attending CES, we came across a bunch of guys that were surrounded by sheep. Now, if it wasn’t for the fact they were also surrounded by gorgeous Apple computers, Mike and I probably would of just walked on by. They asked us their questions on how we back up, if we use Time Machine and so on and so on. After hearing their talk for a few minutes, it clicked. Mixing a “set it and forget it” service like Time Machine with cloud based storage is ingenious. It makes sense.
I’ve been using Dolly Drive for the past couple weeks, and with their presence this week at MacWorld, I wanted to dive into what I think about the cloud guys with the cute little sheep logo.
Hop on in and find out more about Dolly Drive and online Time Machine back-ups…
I know what you’re thinking; “why in the flipping World would I want to cover up that gorgeous aluminum piece of pure sex?!?” Well, I never thought I would either. But while we were trolling the show floor a couple weeks ago, I found myself drooling over the cases that were at my finger tips. With so many to choose from, it’s kind of hard to even know where to start. But if you’ve owned an iDevice for any length of time, the word Speck probably means more than that little piece of dust that is stuck under your protective skin on your iPhone.
We happened to make our way to the Speck on a Wednesday afternoon because of some free beer. Now, don’t get me wrong, I wanted to hit it up because of a certain CandyShell View Case that they were showing off. I wanted to see about picking one up to make my plane ride home a tad bit more enjoyable. To my dismay they were plum out except for what they had on display, but that sure as hell didn’t mean Mike and I got some serious goodies from the great people working the floor. I inquired about something for my little old 11″ MacBook Air and was handed a shiny blue SeeThru to try out.
How did it fare? Will I keep using it? Does it keep me from waking up in cold sweat after having vicious nightmares about scratching the Apple logo on the outside of the laptop? I guess you’re just gonna have to hit ‘continue’ to find out!!!
The iPhone 4/4S is still one of the best designed phones around. The sleek metallic antenna band that wraps around the dual-sided glass panels is a sight to behold. Of course, that design also does two things that aren’t so great. For starters, it’s fragile as hell. The smallest drops can cause the iPhone 4/4S to crack and/or shatter. The second, due to the small size, is poor battery life. That’s where external battery packs come in. Though, if you’d like to kill two birds with one stone you can look for a 1-2 punch in battery cases.
We’ve reviewed a couple battery cases here at Gadgetsteria (Incipio offGrid and Powerskin 2000 mAh) and are proud to announce a newcomer: The BoostCase Hybrid.
