While surfing the web I happened to fall upon the Nike+ FuelBand. When I first saw it it looked like the Jawbone Up, but just better. So what is this? It’s a band that you wear on your wrist that records every step you take and counts all the calories you lost. This is not like the Jawbone Up, it’s mainly for athletic people. They call it a FuelBand because it starts at red and once you’ve worked out and reached your preset goal, it turns green.
Tech Specs:
- Small- WM0073-001 (5.79 inches / 147 millimeters)
- Medium- WM0074-001 (6.77 inches / 172 millimeters)
- Large- WM0075-001 (7.76 inches / 197 millimeters)
It has a 20 LED display that shows you Daily Goal progress throughout the day. Then there’s 100 white LEDS that shows time, NikeFuel earned, calories earned, and steps taken. There’s even an iPhone app to monitor your progress using Bluetooth. As for the device’s endurance itself, Nike claims the the Nike+ FuelBand can hold a charge for up to four days.
It’s up for pre-order right now for $149.00 and ships on February 22.

It was recently brought to my attention by a comment in my last jailbreak post that there is a greenpois0n2 website floating around boasting the untethered 5.0/5.01 jailbreak of iPhone 3GS – the 4S and both iPads. This is an easy scam to fall for and we have no clue what the download will provide.
But please, DO NOT download and install this. This is entirely a fake and isn’t an actual Chronic Dev release. You can search jailbreak at Gadgetsteria and find tons of posts that will give actual Twitter usernames of some of the devs on both Chronic Dev Team as well as the iPhone Dev Team that you can follow for release updates.
So again, please do not install or pass this site around as legit. We have a tweet out to @MuscleNerd, @pod2g and @posixninja on what they know of the site.
As always, Conan lolz up the television sets with fun skits and jokes. And as his team has done in the past, again they bring us a funny sketch from the show poking fun at Apple. With the iPhone 4S craze sweeping the world over the past 10 days or so, Apple finally released their commercial. And Conan is right there to help add a fun twist. And yes, we all know what you have probably asked it.
Hop on in for the video. And leave us comments on any funny things you’ve talked about with Siri. I have a long growing list.

What exactly is the iPhone 5 going to look like? Quite honestly we’re not going to know until Cupertino wants us to know. Besides being a few weeks until Apple makes things official — that is of course if numerous rumors suggesting an early to mid-October release are true — there dozens of different so-called “real” leaks of iPhone 5 parts. And despite the growing mountain of evidence, we’re no closer to discovering the next-gen phone’s real shape.
With that said, why not toss another variable into the mix. An alleged iPhone 5 home button has surfaced on Chinese retailer China Better for ~$6.68 USD — pay special attention to the supported devices list which included as “iPhone 5″.
What’s interesting is that several images and blown up screenshots showing what appears to be a redesigned iPhone 5 casing with a new, elongated touchpad-like area are rendered false by this new part.
As always with such leaks, have a dose or two of salt nearby. Stay tuned. As October draws closer we should have a much better view of what is going down in Apple world.

We always drool over a company’s top tier products. But many times the more mid-range fodder is just as exciting (mostly). In regards to BlackBerries, RIM’s latest 9930 Bold is a hot piece with it’s fast 1.2 GHz (single-core) processor and higher resolution 640 x 480 display. But if you’d like to have most of RIM’s newest design and feature additions alongside BlackBerry OS 7 but don’t want to break the bank, one of their newly announced BlackBerry Curve devices may be just the ticket.
The new 9350, 9360 and 9370 all share a slower clocked 800 MHz processor, 5-megapixel camera and 480 x 360 resolution display. The 9350/60 make due with 512 MB of RAM while the 9370 features 1 GB just like it’s 99xx siblings. As far as connectivity options go, the 9350 is HSPA/GSM compatible with the 9360 pulling CDMA/EVDO duties. Finally, the higher end Curve 9370 gets dual-mode GSM/CDMA capabilities to go along with that extra 512 MB of RAM. As an added bonus, the 9360/70 will also feature support for UMA calling — calling over WiFi networks — provided the carrier in question supports it. Here in the U.S. at least, the number of carriers actively supporting UMA is basically just T-Mobile.
They seem decent enough. Thoughts?

iOS 4.3.4 has officially been outed! While it’s not nearly as exciting as iOS 5, new software is new software. With that said, the only real worthy change to note is that it plugs the PDF exploit that JailbreakMe 3.0 uses, which could be used to exploit iOS users for some really bad stuff. It goes without saying JailbreakMe 3.0 users (and jailbreak users in general) should just let this one pass by. Direct download links after the break.

Thanks to an insightful man by the name of Kazuhiro Fujita, CEO of Japanese firm TES NewEnergy, charging our gadgets is now as simple as boiling a pot of water. Prompted by TV and internet coverage of the massive 9.0 earthquake that struck Japan back on March 11th that showed people huddled around camp fires, Fujita concocted a special charging pan that uses the heat from boiled water to pass an electrical charge via USB to any compatible gadget. The pan itself isn’t too overly complicated — it uses a special thermoelectric material on the underside of the pan that creates electricity because of the varying temperatures between the water inside the pan and the actual temperature of the pans bottom plate.
Fujita claims the 2W/400mA power delivery potential of the Pan Charge is good enough for 3 to 5-hour recharge times for your typical cellphone, and cites the pan’s increased usefulness in both day and night time energy needs thanks to its solar independence.
The Pan Charger is now on sale for 24,150 yen ($300 USD)
After an earlier tweet baiting followers to check back later for “Sensational” news, T-Mobile has followed up with an official announcement regarding the HTC Sensation. Stating as early as June 12th at Walmart and June 15th everywhere else, the HTC Sensation will claim the throne as T-Mobile’s top of the line Android device. While we don’t have a price just yet, we’d wager the typical $199-$299 on a 2-year contract. Pricing will be $199 with the standard 2-year contract. With that said, we’ll just let the specs do the talking. Check ‘em out after the break…
