Palm Treo Pro: Late to the party…Not showing up until February 15th.

So the Pre just isn’t your cup of tea and you can’t wait until June anyway?  Well, the Palm Treo Pro could be your answer.  However, it is officially unofficially being delayed until February 15th…more than 3 weeks later than the orginal January 25th release date.  Yes it is a sad day for Palm aficionados.  Apparently Best Buy has already received their initial shipments but are locking them up tighter than Fort Knox until the 15th.  Sadly...

Zune cost Microsoft $100 million in Holiday revenue!

Zune cost Microsoft $100 million in Holiday revenue!

Amid a several thousand employee layoff, news is coming out that Microsoft’s Zune lost around $100 million (54%) in revenue this past holiday quarter.  In stark contrast, Apple’s iPod earned 3% increase in iPod sales totaling $4.382 billion!   It isn’t hard to understand why the Zune is quickly dying…Microsoft is stalling on the innovation and updating front.  While just about every other portable audio player manufacturer updated their players...

Last.fm lands on Android

Last.fm lands on Android

Android users have reason to celebrate tonight/today as Last.fm has been released for Android.  One might ask why is this any better than the aLast.fm app.  Well folks, it loads a little faster and has more features that mimic the desktop version.  One awesome feature that is an Android exclusive is background streaming (sit down iPhoners) which allows you to close the app and open whatever else your little heart desires, all without ever losing the stream.  Awesome job...

Everyone is equal…G1 coming to everyone tomorrow!

Everyone is equal…G1 coming to everyone tomorrow!

Until now, you had to be in an area covered by T-Mobile’s 3G in order to walk in to a T-Mo store and walk out with a G1 in hand.  If you weren’t so fortunate, you had to resort to online ordering and camping out impatiently by the mailbox waiting for your precious.  Not any longer.  Starting tomorrow, (actually now, just after midnight), everyone will be able to get their paws on a G1 in store!  I know several people whom will jump for joy at the news.  So,...

World’s First Locking HDMI Cable brought to you by PPC!

HDMI is quickly becoming the HD connector standard for HD afficienados.  However, those darn plugs fall out so easily.  Something as small as a slight breeze rolls through your room and the picture starts snowing up.  Think about it.  If you added up all of the seconds up you wasted getting up and adjusting the HDMI cable, over a lifetime you will have wasted several days of your life plugging in a cable!  If this constant fall out, get up, move A/V equipment, plug...

LG VX9600 steps into the limelight

Everybody loves “Cupcakes”

Everybody loves “Cupcakes”

The much talked about “Cupcake update” that is supposed to be officially adopted by T-Mobile is still an orphan as no *definitive* release date has been anounced.  Besides the much hyped onscreen keyboard, bug fixes, utility add-ons, and UI tweaks are what make Cupcake sweet.  (weak I know).  The rumored release for Cupcake was end of January.  If that is in fact true, we could see it released within the next few days.  Cross your fingers!   Source: Boy...

Motorola i9 coming to Boost Mobile

Motorola i9 coming to Boost Mobile

Since the Razr fad ended, Motorola has found itself unable to escape the once iconic handsets styling.  Most of the phones Motorola has released since then have all revolved around the same “thin” look as well as more or less copy over the keypad.  While the Razr was a great phone in its hayday, times have changed and Motoroloa is sadly falling behind.  If you are a fan of cutting edge design and all kinds of features built in to your phone, Boost...

Survey says: XP still the speed king

Survey says: XP still the speed king

Since Windows 7 beta’s leak and then public release, there have been many posts on how “real world” tests are showing it to be faster than Vista (not hard) and XP.  Do those claims hold any truth?  Infoworld conducted benchmark tests between XP, Vista, and 7.  The results?  XP is still the speed king, 7 trails slightly, and Vista is sucking the dust of the other two.  Infoworld goes on to explain how as processors gain more and more cores and...
