Nexus One gifted with 720p video recording.

The N1 was a short lived attempt by Google to reinvent the way consumers acquire mobile hardware. It was a noble effort. But ultimately wasn’t what we all wanted apparently. Even still, the N1 itself is a fine piece of Android hardware. Though leave it to the “Android underground” world of hackers and devs to truly unlock the devices potential.

What am I saying? 720p video recording baby…

Early Wii 2 rumors leak. Blu-ray, simultaneous world-wide launch in 2010?

Great jumping Jehoshaphat. HD Wii! Hear that? Oh you missed it? That’s because it was the sound of a single, tiny grain of salt hitting the floor. Which signals how you should treat this rumor. According to a “very reliable source” of Logic-Sunrise (Google translated), the 2nd gen Wii, for now cleverly named “Wii 2″ will debut in 2010.

The main rumored feature that stands out is the Blu-ray support and hardware support for both 720p and 1080p. Sweet. Finally some HD. I know the Wii is still more popular than the Xbox 360 or PS3, but I’m just not into video games made in 2009 that still feature characters with blockheads ala late 90′s games. The whole jumping around and waving my arms like a mad man doesn’t strike my fancy either. I want eye candy and graphical power.

We know Nintendo has to embrace modern graphics and technology at some point unless they plan on jumping out of this whole gaming business all together. But somehow I just don’t think that’s on their future projection charts littering HQ do you?

Samsung Omnia HD to be the first mobile device to record 720p video?

With MWC practically in full swing already as release after release starts making their way across the web even though MWC doesn’t officially start until tomorrow, Samsung has been simply dominating the release waves.  This tid bit of information is still unconfirmed however as Samsung hasn’t officially annouced the Omnia HD yet.  The HD moniker pertains to the beautiful display and possibly because it will be the first cell phone to record video in an industry first 720p!  If it does turn out to be true, it’s sure to look A-mazing on the 3.7″ AMOLED display.  Soon enough we will know…and begin to drool.
