TweetDeck for Android now available!

Today is the day Android social butterflies have been waiting for. TweetDeck is now available! A quick recap in case you forgot, TweetDeck offers integration with several social accounts including Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, and Google Buzz. The layout is simple, clean, yet intuitive, using columns to navigate between accounts and types of messages. So far, my favorite aspect is the unified inbox of sorts that put all of your status updates in a single view, ensuring...

Early TweetDeck for Android beta leaked. “Official” beta coming tomorrow, 8/12.

Well well well. That gloriously tasty looking TweetDeck Android app we talked about yesterday has found one of its early builds leaked (Download here). Perhaps Nimbuzz 2.0 can help me with my dilemma, hmm? Fresh off the shelf, Nimbuzz 2.0 brings some...

BlindType is the soft keyboard to rule all

BlindType is the soft keyboard to rule all

I may favor many aspects of Android over other mobile platforms, but there’s one area that sucks pretty bad all around — soft (onscreen) keyboards. The iPhone’s keyboard is still the one to beat. Android’s default keyboard as well as just about every other keyboard I’ve tried are marginal at best. Of course, 3rd part options such as Swype do go a long way into introducing new and innovative methods of inputing characters on a screen. ...
