I've seen some pretty over the top and downright insanely involved wedding invitations in my time. But this -- "Darina and Niko's Incredible Adventure."? The invitations are actually two specially designed Mario-style video games that were sent out to all of their guests. The coolest part is that the games are actually playable, with beating the game an actual requirement to finding out the when, where, and whatever else logistics of the big holy union. How cool is that?

LEGOs are geeky enough. Star Wars -- times two. Throw fooseball into the mix? Dear god, you're asking for trouble. Austrian LEGO/Star Wars/Fooseball nut, 2x4 did the unthinkable and mashed together several staples of a geek's "way of life" into one of the greatest creations of all time: a Star Wars fooseball table constructed entirely out of LEGOs. Does it get any better? Yes, it's fully playable. Try not to let your 2-ton jaw hit the handles as it rockets to the floor. Rebuilding this b...

Cool architecture. What else would you call this? I for one would love to call this my next home. Though I'm 98% 99% sure I couldn't even come close to affording the bill for such grand display of modern art. Just in case you're curious, the Step House was built by Herzog & de Meuron for the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein, Germany. Another bonus -- I want to visit Germany. (Anyone care to join me?) Looks like I could kill two birds with one stone here, huh? *Gazes on in awe..."some day"*

The Terminator Edition iPhone Case Mod.

Of the few faults I have with the iPhone, the back casing really isn't one of them. It's designed well and does it's job. What more could you ask for? For some, the move to plastic casings after the first gen iPhone was done largely to (1) reduce cost and (2) increase reception to the more cellular loving characteristics of plastic over metals. Understandably, some want the added reception of plastic and the sleek, sturdy look of metal. Solution: Titanium alloy.
You see, Titanium alloy i...
LEGO junkies, meet your master: “LEGO Crawler Town”

Wow, wow, and more wow. Just when I thought I'd seen the coolest and most complex LEGO creation, someone has to come along and smash my previous idol to pieces. Though you have to admit, being impressed and having your "idol" smashed to pieces because a newer, bigger, and better one comes along can actually be pretty exciting. In the case of the "LEGO Crawler Town", perfection and creativity have reached a new peak.
The description according to the builders:
“Crawler town roams the ba...
The X-ray Umbrella

Recycling old gadgets and stuff is a great way to not only make the planet just a wee bit happier, as I can't tell you how many awesome creations I've seen created from recycled materials. Awesome creations such as the X-ray Umbrella show that even after a gadget or product's "useful" lifecycle, there's still plenty to be had. In the case of this umbrella, used up x-ray sheets were spliced together to create a pretty neat head turner. Though, being made out of x-ray sheets, I'm not sure how r...
The AT&T Coverage Helmet [Humor + Bonus Video]

Without a doubt, the "Funniest joke to poke fun at AT&T's rural coverage award" goes to none other than "Ryan" and his friend "parawing742" of YouTube. Parawing742 created a massive plexiglass map showing AT&T's rather meager 3G coverage and affixed it to a helmet. Then they went to an AT&T store followed by a Verizon store. Capturing all the candid goodness was rather easy thanks to a wireless mike on Ryan and tailgating camera guy, Parawing742.
The whole point was for Ryan here to find...
What to make when you have an abundance of old keyboard: The Keyboard Chair

Call it creativity. Call it ingenuity. Or if you want to be a debbie downer, call it a creation from someone with way too much time on their hands. Whatever your stance may be, there's no arguing the Keyboard Chair designed by Nolan Herbut isn't a looker. Generally we see keys in a very flat and non-chair like shape. But in the name of design and modern geekery, exceptions can be made.
While I'm pretty sure the actual softness or cushiness (scientific term) won't be all that great, looki...

If you're on a tight budget (and don't kid me, we've all been there), normal everyday activities such as going to the movie theater become nothing more than a dream. For without the required paper money, they won't let you in. Finding yourself in this predicament is an unfortunate one for sure. It's at down times like these, creativity flourishes as people have more time to devote to hobbies or side projects. In lieu of the aforementioned words, why not take it upon yourself to mercilessly...
Halo Xbox 360 mod looks outta’ this world…

Since I'm on a mod kick this morning, why not move on from the mobile geek cave to something that is a little smaller a heck of a lot more affordable. Gaming console mods are nothing new. We have seen dozens pass through here at GS. Perhaps the most unique and well put together example of console modding to come through in some time the Halo Xbox 360 mod. The name is self explanatory. This 360 mod features a panoramic-like scene on the top of the 360 that is beautifully detailed. It does...
Coolest Calendar Ever: The Ink Calendar

Take all of your other novelty calendars and even functional calendars and throw them in the trash because that is exactly what they are when compared to the world's coolest calendar, the Ink Calendar. Designed by forward thinking Spanish designer Oscar Diaz, the Ink Calendar brings a whole new level of innovation and sophistication to an otherwise mundane project and duty. The gist behind this time teller is the ability to display the date with nothing but a bottle of ink and 28-31 paper ma...
