Newest theme from Elecite: Keen [BlackBerry Theme]

  • January 26, 2010 2:38 pm

Want to make your Berry a more literal expression of your inner being? Cases and skins are cool, sure. But nothing is as dynamic and customizable as a custom theme for you Berry. Besides, changing organized pairs of 1′s and 0′s on screen is many times easier than changing some piece of stick on paper or molded plastic.

Meet Elecite’s new BlackBerry theme “Keen”. Featuring a more transparent and glassy look, this theme is best served by an equally impressive wallpaper. Beyond the background, Keen features 6-8 customizable icons, 4-5 locked “quick access” icons, and a small preview/today area beneath.

Personally, I don’t have any need for a quick preview/today area but can certainly understand the draw and reasons why many do. To each his own. Personal opinions aside, no one can argue with the fact that Keen is sleek and gorgeous to lay eyes on. For $6.99, any modern Berry rockin’ OS 5.0 can get in on the action.

Give your Berry a little bit of that Nexus touch with “BeNexus”. [BlackBerry Theme]

  • January 19, 2010 11:27 am

Wield a BlackBerry but finding yourself taking a particular liking to the Nexus One’s pretty face? You’re now in luck! A rather slick and true to it’s roots Nexus One theme by JMal and Ahaz Designs dubbed “BeNexus” aims to make your BlackBerry go incognito, rockin’ an Android look.

There have been plenty of Android themes created and released for the BlackBerry platform since Android first launched. In my opinion however, BeNexus is one of if not the nicest BlackBerry themes yet .

Better than just a pretty face, there are all kinds of shortcuts and extra goodies packed in. For example, the Google Search bar is an actual working widget ala Android. The notification bar on the top is also functional, giving drop down options to read new messages.

Overall it’s not just a good Android theme but an awesome BlackBerry theme all things considered. Coupled with a $3.99 price until January 24th means you have to try it out. Get downloadin’!

New “Poser” theme from Elecite brings new approach to customizing your theme

  • December 18, 2009 2:04 pm

poser-4The days of being able to simply change your wallpaper and calling that the end of your customizing rope are over. A new BlackBerry theme by Elecite takes a rather unique and exciting departure from the typical world of BlackBerry themes. Instead of merely having the ability to change your background and maybe move the icons a bit, Poser gives you a new, untold amount of options.

The whole concept of the theme revolves around customizing an avatar and yes, wallpaper too. The number of avatars available is pretty high with Stewie from Family Guy and a stealthy Ninja being two of my personal favorite. But the customization doesn’t stop there. With each avatar you choose you can further drill down in the options and change features such as the head, outfit, weapon, accessories — even giving the poor creation a pet.

All of this seems like it would cause the greedy theme dev to jack up the price. Thankfully that’s not the case. $3.49 and your’re out the door rockin’ your new theme.

**Super cool side note: If you think your poser/avatar is the coolest of the cool, take a screenshot and send it to [email protected] for a chance to win a top spot in the 10 best posers. The 10 best winners will receive a refund from purchasing the Poser theme as well as another theme of your choice free. What are you waiting for?!

Winterize your Berry with HedoneDesign’s “SnowTime” theme.

With the release of BlackBerries packing faster processors means faster navigation, better performance in applications, and for those with an eye towards design — cleaner, more premium themes. In the case of HedoneDesign’s new SnowTime BlackBerry theme, those who are absolutely infatuated with winter, snow, and everything that Christmas memories bring will find this new theme quite a treat. The main idea here is simple and elegant. You’ll notice the homescreen only features a couple of user customizable icons and the standard signal and battery meter. Other than that, a scenic winter wonderland background aims to make the most out of all those tiny pixels inhabiting your screen.

Even more stylish than the simple layout however is the animated falling snow in the background. Older models such as the 83xx series may notice a slight sluggishness from time to time (at least I always did with animated themes), but if that isn’t your concern or you have a newer BlackBerry with the faster muscle under the hood, then by all means give SnowTime a try. It really is something to see.

SnowTime is available for all BlackBerry devices 83xx and up (excluding 81xx and 88xx devices) for $6.99. If you purchase SnowTime before December 10th, you can walk away with a discount — sale price of $3.99. Remember, it’s only $3.99 until December 10th. Better get a move on it…

HedoneDesign is somewhat famous you could say. They are one of the top premium BlackBerry theme designer sites, often pumping out great theme after great theme. Today, Hedone is adding another notch to their belt. Their new theme “GreenTech” however is more than just another notch. GreenTech is the first official BlackBerry theme to be relesaed using BlackBerry Theme Studio 5.0!

The overall design of GreenTech is — well, green — and easily read, crisp and clear icons. The text is easy to read. And best of all, those two big custom meters for both battery and signal status are top notch. Because of the newness of Theme Studio, the added features that can now be built into themes, and the overall higher quality that BlackBerry themes will now present means we’ll all have to pay ever so slightly more: $7.99 instead of the old $6.99 price. But there are ways to save. Purchase GreenTech before November 23rd and walk away with a brand spanking new 5.0 theme for only $3.99. Ya, that wet your whistle didn’t it?

Focus-1

Are you the type of BlackBerry user who enjoys custom themes? Custom themes that emphasize the wallpaper, taking a minimalistic approach? If so, a new theme from Elecite called “Focus is sure to catch your eye. Featuring a circular navigation menu, the center hub that houses 8 icons plus the time giving you quick access to a fairly large number of your favorite apps.

Since this theme highlights stunning wallpapers, it only seems fitting that Elecite includes a few — 10 to be exact. 10 gorgeous wallpapers rotate on your Berry’s homescreen at set intervals. While the backgrounds are fixed and not user customizable, there should be at least one background included for everyone.

In order to rock this theme, you’ll need a device with an OS of 4.5 or higher on the following devices:

  • 8350i, 85xx, 8900, 9000, 95xx and 96xx

**No device with OS .151 will work with this theme.

Anyone looking to get in on this wonderfully crafted theme can head on over to Elecite and get ready to enjoy some of the finest BlackBerry themes available.

Hedone Designs unleashes another amazing theme: Digital [BlackBerry Theme]

If you’ve been in the BlackBerry scene for at least a few months and are in to the whole customization of your precious little Crack gadget, chances are you’ve changed the wallpaper and/or theme at least a couple times. Some can go weeks with the one theme. Others change themes like they *hopefully* change underwear. Whichever type of person you are, Hedone Design has just released another amazingly polished and professional looking BlackBerry theme dubbed “Digital”.

Featuring a sort of HTC TouchFLO-ish style, Digital brings crisp and modern lines to the mobile workhorse. What makes this theme even better however is the fact that Hedone has 8 stylish wallpapers available for free download in the store that alter the theme and give it a different appearance — almost like a different theme with each wallpaper. After giving the theme a quick rundown for the last few minutes, I can honestly say this is one of my favorite themes from any designer so far. With the quality, fit and finish, and overall simplistic yet functional design of this theme, I highly and enthusiastically recommend the Digital theme to any BlackBerry user. Such eye candy is well worth the $6.99 asking price.

TPExpert: A classy split screen style theme for the masses

  • July 13, 2009 8:23 am

TPXpertGlava

Hedone Design is back with another eye buster: TPXpert. The latest theme to come from the theming powerhouse is a sweet today plus-esque theme for all newer BlackBerry models. Some may not like the split screen style themes, but I find that if designed and executed correctly can actually be pretty functional and cool. I like on TPXpert how when you slide to the right for the calendar, the box on the right fills up with calendar entries. That is just one of the subtle touches that really make this theme stand out as a premium theme. If you are the Berry user who likes the choice to choose between many different icons on your homescreen in a split screen style, TPExpert is just the theme for you. A trip to the Hedone Design Store and a farewell to $6.99 of pocket change are the only requirements. Gallery inside showing off the visual nirvana.

Neu Theme for Blackberry 83xx, 89xx and 9xxx devices is smooth, slick, and downright amazing!

  • May 26, 2009 8:45 am

neu

Blackberry theme hunters searching for the perfect theme that blends style, sophistication, and functionality all into one package can now call of the search. In what is probably one of the nicer and more put together themes I have seen in a small while, Neu for Blackberry brings a very nice subtle yet expressive look to your Berry that is striking. A co-op piece designed by lilholashaka, MaxThemes, and Ninja Please, Neu brings a sense of quality and fit-n-finish that speaks highly of the involved parties. Words are really pointless, all you can do is just stare at all that it is. The only thing I could think of that the theme lacks and sadly will keep me from using it full time is the fact that there aren’t custom underlays meaning 3rd party icons stick out like a sore thumb. I know I can toss them in a folder which has it’s own matching icon, but I really don’t want to do that and I’m sure their are at least a few other Crackberry users out there who feel the same. Could we get that added please? Doing so would put the Neu theme over the top.

The theme comes in many different styles for various devices. Perhaps the greatest feature of this theme is the price – FREE! Pictures and download links are right inside.
