“It’s On Like…D’oh, monkey dong”

  • November 11, 2010 8:20 pm

I guess that is what we’ll have to say from now on, since Nintendo wants to trademark “it’s on like donkey kong.”(I got consent to say that for this article only, TAKE THAT OTHER SITES!!!)

So yeah, I doubt it will get passed. I mean, I have heard this said for as long as I can remember, but personally have never said it even though the DK games have always been held close to my heart. I kind of think it is ridiculous to try to TM this. I’ll try to follow this story as it is goes through the process to be trademarked, and update this in the future. It could happen. I hope not, because I use this every time I drag my wife upstairs by her hair.

If Nintendo wins this, it will ruin my “evening time” with my wife. Apple already ruined the ending by taking “There’s An App For That!”

Much like the Pac-man iPhone 4 wallpaper before it, the Donkey Kong iPhone 4 (3GS too!) wallpaper blends in rather nicely with the whole icon grid layout, wouldn’t you say?

The old school gamer in you has been through a slew of gaming systems throughout the years each with their defining titles. Perhaps one of the greatest and most known titles in the history of gaming was that of Nintendo’s uber popular game Donkey Kong. While nowadays such a game looks godly outdated and too simple. However, back in the day, Donkey Kong was the cream of the crop. If your old school gamer soul has turned into an interior designers soul (haha…jk) or if you simply love to decorate your house with geeky stuff, the Donkey Kong Shelves will surely do the trick. What better way to display your fondness for old single digit bit gaming goodness than hanging crooked shelves that resemble your favorite game? I for one could use a bunch of these. Heck, I’d replace all my shelves with them. They’re pretty cool don’t you think?
