Impress Your Friends and Coffee Cups: The Han Solo Coffee Table

  • November 15, 2010 10:34 am

You could be like every other normal, un-interesting home owner and put some bland plank of wood in your living room, boring your guests and coffee cups alike. Or, you could make use of this awesome Han Solo Coffee Table designed and built by England-based design studio R9…

The nerdy kitchen starts with a Starship Enterprise Pizza Cutter.

  • September 23, 2010 6:58 am

Yet another prized possession from ThinkGeek — the Star Trek Pizza Cutter. It’s so beautiful wrapped up in it’s little box, shiny and all. It’s almost too beautiful in that I don’t want to tarnish it’s face with garlic laden pizza sauce and chicken grease. But alas, I hate buying things I can’t use. Wear your geeky character loud and proud, right? For the record, if you cut your pizza with the Starship Enterprise, you are a massive geek.

With the Imperial army in shambles, old, decommissioned AT-AT Walkers need something to keep active.

Space Invaders constructed with Star Wars mini-figs.

  • August 12, 2010 8:55 am

Space Invaders scenes constructed out of miniature Star Wars figures. Does it get any geekier? I’d love to see you find something that is. From the brain of Chris McVeigh, the Star Wars Space Invaders plaque would make a fine addition to any wall. Too bad it’s not my own. But hey, it’s motivation for myself to get out there and get crafty. Be sure to check out Chris’s other nerdy toom foolery on his Flickr page.

LEGO Recreates: Inception the movie.

  • August 2, 2010 8:09 am

On a slightly lighter and less repulsive note than the Real Piggy Bank, someone has taken everyone’s favorite geek toy (Hint: LEGOs) and crafted them to depict arguably one of the best summer movies (another hint: Inception). Actually, it wasn’t just one scene, but several, created by Flickr users Profound Whatever and Ochre Jelly’s.

Once you get bored of Inception-only themes (how dare you), be sure to step through the rest of the duo’s LEGO creations. They’re pretty cool. And honestly, who doesn’t like looking at LEGO stuff? Jump on in to see a few of the Inception-ized LEGO scenes highlighted in all their glory…

Raise ‘em right: The AT-AT Walker Stroller

  • May 4, 2010 9:34 pm

You know the saying “Teach ‘em while they’re young” ? Usually it refers to some crass habit or mannerism the great uncle (or dad) exhibits routinely. But it doesn’t always have to mean something undesirable. Such a case is perfectly highlighted with the above image — an AT-AT Walker. Star Wars has a cult following. It’s one of the geekiest, nerdiest movie series in the history of mankind spanning across furniture, toys, clothing, food and now, baby strollers.

If I were one to have a kid on the way, I’d make sure I picked up a few of these AT-AT strollers to outfit my miniature galaxy with. Like the saying goes: “Teach ‘em while they’re young…”

LEGO Star Wars Fooseball table: Geeks unite in seizure starting in 3..2..

  • March 1, 2010 1:28 pm

LEGOs are geeky enough. Star Wars — times two. Throw fooseball into the mix? Dear god, you’re asking for trouble. Austrian LEGO/Star Wars/Fooseball nut, 2×4 did the unthinkable and mashed together several staples of a geek’s “way of life” into one of the greatest creations of all time: a Star Wars fooseball table constructed entirely out of LEGOs. Does it get any better? Yes, it’s fully playable. Try not to let your 2-ton jaw hit the handles as it rockets to the floor. Rebuilding this beast would be an undertaking of epic proportions. Not to mention, watching this crumble to pieces would make any geek cry. Who’s ready for a few rounds?

“Be careful with those…” Star Wars lightsaber flash drives.

  • February 24, 2010 2:30 pm

“Lightsaber flash drives” you say with abated breath and a racing heart. Yes, your very own futuristic death sword retired and sent back into the working world as a lowly flash drive. The storage size is a bit puny as far as modern flash drives go — only 1GB — but that shouldn’t stop the most obsessed Star Wars fans. The icing on the cake comes in the form of exterior illumination when plugged in.

For only $20 at ThinkGeek, why not?
