Flex DVD another “final stand” in the physical vs. digital format war?

Label me intrigued but not enough to buy -- Flex DVD, a newcomer in the physical format arena brings with it green promises and flexibility to boot. The Flex's claim to fame is that it needs only 50% of the raw plastic to form each disc...and of course that the disc is highly flexible without breaking. Not to mention, it's much thinner than traditional DVDs at a mere 0.6mm. Because of the diet, mailing said discs will be much cheaper as well. Super! How soon until we getting junk discs in...
