We can’t be sure this is the 4.5″ gigantor phone that’s said to pack a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and LTE, but the FCC filing above certainly seems to point that direction. For now we’ll just have to drool over the image above, depicting the cryptically identified “PH39100″.
The rumored HTC Holiday is shaping up to be “the” Android device of the summer if a recent leaked system test is legit. For starters, HTC’s Verizon-born Thunderbolt and its LTE capabilities will be handedly beat by the Holiday’s 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, larger 4.5″ qHD (540 x 960) display, 1 GB of RAM, and 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. Add in the latest Android 2.3.4 and you’ve got yourself a top tier offering. With all the power on tap, the Holiday will certainly need a massive battery (no, 1500mAh won’t cut it) to keep the LTE, fast processor, and large display in check. If reports that the device will be made out of aluminum play out, we’ll also get the benefit of fancy door stop to boot!
Any Thunderbolt owners feeling a bit of buyers remorse? Or is the fact that it’ll take AT&T a solid 12 months to come close to equaling Verizon’s LTE network coverage keeping your content?
Even in today’s digital world, the old analog classic dubbed “Black Friday” gets all of the attention for sales. And while this year’s Black Friday was on par with previous “good years”, the real talk of the town is Cyber Monday. According to PRNewsWire, Cyber Monday sales topped $1 billion in sales for the first time in history. Specifically, the total Cyber Monday figure stands at $1.028 billion — a 16% improvement over 2009′s $887 billion sales figures.
Looking at the bigger picture, it appears that Black Friday is finally losing its luster. And honestly, why wouldn’t it? Who wants to stand in endless lines winding through cold, dark mornings for a product that is almost certainly going to be sold out long before you ever get up front? It’s exponentially easier (and far more enjoyable) to sit in your warm chair and simply click “buy”? Were you part of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or both?
Well lookie there — Angry Birds all decked out for Christmas. With a seat atop Apple’s App Store going on months, it’s easy to see people love Angry Birds, and for iOS users, Angry Birds Halloween. Looks like we’ll have another flavor of everyone’s favorite flinging birds very soon. As for release date and pricing, we don’t have any. Though so far, I’ve seen dates claiming both before December as well as into early December. Pricing should be $0.99-$1.99 as it has been before.
For now, feast your eyes on this screenshot from Japanese site, mtv3.fi. Stay tuned. We’ll go down into the trenches to try and dig up some more info.
Update
There’s also word that a 15-level mini-update is supposed to go live within the next few days bringing new, desert-based levels as well as “The Mighty Eagle”. This bird of epic proportions will allow you to skip levels that you deem too hard. However, you can only call the eagle once an hour. So plan wisely. Also, a new destruction meter will appear on previously completed levels giving you new reasons to play everything many times over…again.
Oh hey, gadget deals at Target for this years Black Friday — Score! My personal favorite is the 40″ 1080p Westinghouse for $298. Hop inside and check out the fully galley of goods…
Those of you hoping that the holiday creep would crawl back into the hole it came from will be sorely disappointed with Newegg — well, that is until you score an awesome deal from their new “Black November” sale. Instead of having one day of awesome prices, Newegg is going to have a handful of killer deals evey day starting now!
If you were holding off on that PC upgrade for any reason or simply looking for a deal here or there, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this!
Sappy gadget lovers, while you may have missed Valentines Day 2010, 2011 is your year of redemption. If you happen to have a significant lover that also shares your love for gadgets, iChocolates are the only thing you need to consider…
If there were any doubt in your mind that global warmingglobal cooling climate change wasn’t an immediate threat to humanity, I have one thing that should instantly re-instill fear into the depths of your soul — Frost the Fire Breathing Snowman.
Gone forever are the childhood memories of dear sweet frosty, the glistening of freshly fallen snow, and the smell of Auntie’s hot-out-of-the-oven chocolate cookies. Instead, all of it will be replaced with the destruction and utter chaos that Frosty the Firey Snowman will levy on the human race. Godspeed everyone.
Besides being a gadget aficionado, chocolate also ranks up there on my list of “loves”. With that out of the way, have you ever wondered what an HTC Hero would look like if it were transformed into a block of chocolate? Psh, forget how it looks, I’m more concerned with how it tastes. Too bad I’m not a member of the EnglishRussia blog as it seems HTC is feeling all sweet and gift happy towards them, sending them Choco-fied HTC Heros.
The reasoning behind the mysterious edibles is unknown at this point. According to the blog above, it was a “New Year” type of thing. For what it’s worth, they came old school via messenger delivery — a nice personal touch. If it was HTC getting all personal and down to earth, I have to ask: Where’s my HTC Hero Chocolate Bar?
