Signal Strength should be a routine problem for most of the wireless internet users, be it Wi-Fi or Mobile Broadband. We would have tried changing location, reinstalled the connectivity software, updated patches or even change the devices. Also, many of us have even gone as far as calling tech support trying to fix the issue and usually not making much progress.
So if you’re looking for some quick fixes for poor wireless performance, hop inside…
Another not gadget that has captivated my inner being. I know from experience that kids love crayons. Not just to color with, but to eat too. Hey, don’t kid yourself. We’ve all pretty much tried to stick on in either our nose, mouth, or both at some point during our childhood.
Now we have nothing left to do but thank Luxirare — 50% thank them that is. This marvelous invention of human ingenuity isn’t actually available for sale. Buzz kill, I know. Ingredients for a couple crayons and another pic await you inside…
Without a doubt, the “Funniest joke to poke fun at AT&T’s rural coverage award” goes to none other than “Ryan” and his friend “parawing742″ of YouTube. Parawing742 created a massive plexiglass map showing AT&T’s rather meager 3G coverage and affixed it to a helmet. Then they went to an AT&T store followed by a Verizon store. Capturing all the candid goodness was rather easy thanks to a wireless mike on Ryan and tailgating camera guy, Parawing742.
The whole point was for Ryan here to find a phone (and carrier) that gave him decent rural coverage so he could yak the night away. When all is said and done however, Ryan goes home empty handed. He did accomplish one thing though — making us laugh.
Some gadget gurus will go and combine something like a clock and toilet, or a toothbrush and a laser. Now don’t take it in the wrong way or that I’m trying to dismiss/knock on those indivuduals’ personal achievements and creations. They’re great, really. But this, this Igloo/Man Cave/Icy Wonderland is something I could really use.
For Jimmy Grey of Cleveland, Ohio, a recent vacation to the unemployment line with an unwelcome extended stay left him with some extra time on his hands. Like any creative individual, he started a project. While he didn’t create a “gadget” per say, his ingenuity and creativity are no doubt worth highlighting. And if you really want to get strict about it, a flat scree, cable, and beer are involved. Interested now?
Instead of helping the homeless or doing some other non-fulfilling volunteer work, Jimmy set out to build the greatest arctic man cave ever — a 6′ tall igloo with (4) rooms, a flat screen, cable, and a mini fridge stocked with icy cold brews no matter the time of day or state of utility payments. Then again, when the beers are stored outside in sub-arctic temperatures inside of the Igloo Gigantor, no amount of late utility payments are going to spoil your beer anyhow, are they?
On top of the inner arrangement, the snow that did occupy the inner sanctums of the ice cave have been transformed into walls outside the structure and create a sort of mini-courtyard. Talk about impressive!
So how did he come up with all the snow to make such a work of art? It started with his driveway, then the front yard, the neighbor’s yard, and…you can see where this is going. Eventually it came to the point where Jimmy and his friend were trucking in snow from other neighborhoods and cleared parking lots. That, my friends is determination.
I think Bud Light needs to make one of those singy song commercials for this guy…just sayin’
I don’t know about you, but there are some times when I wish I didn’t have to touch the screen of my phone. Sometimes my fingers are dirty, I could have gloves on, or maybe I’m just having a lazy moment and feel as if moving my finger all over the screen is a huge burden on life itself. Either way, there is now a way to touch a capacitive touchscreen without my finger — use a miniature sausage. It’s so simple it will spawn a *facepalm* moment or two I’m sure.
While it doesn’t really help me if I’ve caught a case of the lazies, not wanting to move my finger around as I can imagine controlling a floppy piece of sausage would take even more work. For the rest of the scenarios however, a sausage might be just the thing I’ve been looking for. Am I all alone in this little boat? Ingenuity at it’s finest I think.
We’ve seen the “Ramblers” (tweeting shoes), a Christmas Tree controlled via tweets, and even a kegerator that tweets out internal specs. All of those are unique and cool in their own way. But none of them satiate you both mentally and physically. The Twitter powered popcorn maker picks up on that slack.
Using some ingenious engineering and a slew of hours that I simply don’t have, a creative YouTube user went ahead and set up a popcorn machine using Labview software that pops a kernel of popcorn each and every time someone tweets “#popcorn”. Pretty nifty huh? I would much prefer an entire bag of popcorn or maybe even at least a bowl. Though I can easily see how things could get out of hand with the entire world now knowing the secret code. Oh well, still a nifty idea none the less.
If one word could be used to describe “Kiwis”/New Zealanders, such a word would have to showcase their creativity and ability to think quick when facing a seemingly unsurmountable problem. Such a word has to be simple yet effective at getting the point across. Think such a word doesn’t exist? Think again — Kiwis = Ingenious.
All we know is that the above image wasn’t because of some unsurmountable problem. Instead those clever Kiwis have a good fix on humor. Yes, the picture above is just a joke. Real, but a joke. I can already picture you thinking if it’s possible on your own bushes…
