Finding the perfect gift for your female significant other can be pretty difficult. Geeks have it a bit easier as, well, there’s so much stuff out there that falls into said category. Take for example these Mario Piranha Biting Plant earrings made by Etsy user lizglizz.
Now, we’re going to have to apologize for leading you on. The awesome earrings above are already sold. Yeah. We’re jerks. But if it’s the Mario theme you’re stuck on, check out these other cool earrings by lizglizz styled after the infamous Mario Bullet that’s taken so many of our lives over the years – (Mario Bullet Earrings). It appears to be the best $18 you can spend on your significant other this coming week if you ask us.

We like nerdy stuff here at GS. We spend an insane, unhealthy amount of time online each and everyday looking for gadget related news, cool stuff, and other general things that make us smile. We’ve also been known to blow through an afternoon in front of the ‘ol Xbox or gaming PC. That said, we were pretty stoked to find these nifty handmade retro gaming themed clocks — the Super Mario with swinging Goomba (above) and Zelda/Link shield (inside) being our favorites. Mario will set you back $50 will the shield we’ve all seen at one point or another is a tad lower at $40. Cool, eh?

Depending on your economic situation, $34 could either be stocking stuffer material or full-on gift fodder. Either way, we highly suggest you live up to your claims of being a gadget lover/nerd by picking up a Mario pipe-themed coffee mug such as the one you see above. The only thing better than a fresh cup ‘o joe early in the AM is a fresh cup ‘o joe straight from Mario’s beloved pipe. Of course, not having to wake up early enough to require coffee to get the juices flowing would the optimal solution. Meh.

For some people, lengthy paragraphs full of meaningless text and philosophical analogies are like a second language. Thankfully we have things that can turn some of life’s more complex scenarios/sayings into more palatable morsels, compliments of Mario.

Any attempts to convince us that Roomba vacuum cleaners with Super Mario covers aren’t the coolest thing ever — Ever! — will result in immediate disconnection from the internet.
The hand made Mario covers were created by iam8bit in collaboration with fabricator Kelice Penney for the company’s SUPER iam8bit party. Our only question: Why weren’t we invited…?

This just ruined my childhood. I cannot unsee what you are about to see. If you are anything like me, you worshipped the ground Mario walked on. You thought of him in the same light as Superman or Batman. He was a hero to those of you that have always lost a princess in war with a mean ugly turtle.
No matter how many times you died, you always knew that you were going to make it to that castle, run and jump over lava and finally release the lever to get the bridge to open and swallow that douche Bowser whole! Nintendo, however, knew that you would die. They knew you wouldn’t make it over that one jump. They were sure your death would be a hot one. So sure they put it directly on the cover the game.
If you dare, we double dog dare you to hop on in the tube and head on down to see the uncensored picture!

Of all the nerdy movies I’ve seen, the “Super Mario Brothers: Curbside Edition” is probably up there with the all time coolest. Essentially, it’s SMB played out on a curb, with a painted on background and Mario animated into the action. Can you top that?

Home decor isn’t normally something we care too much about here at Gadgetsteria. But every once in a while, something rather nifty comes along that tickles are fancy. Today, the tickling is being done by these slick looking Super Mario decals. Basically big stickers, the decals will put that nerdy touch on any room regardless of what else is stowed in the same space. Picking up some yourself will set you back a rather steep $75. But don’t let that deter your too easily. That $75 will net you three sheets of decals, coming to a total 36 individual decals. So yes, you’re going to have some options…
Get yours from Urban Outfitters

I’ve seen plenty of stop-motion videos before. Some better than others. The “Paper Mario Decimates a Classroom and Terrorizes a Building” video that is hiding just after the jump is pretty sweet. It shows us Paper Mario’s journey starting in a classroom and eventually making his way down to the nurse…perhaps to see Dr. Mario, hmm? Pretty good stuff. Give it a look…
