Do you have yourself a faulty pair of eye balls that simply refuse to distinguish certain or all colors? I can certainly understand how such things would put a few monkey wrenches in your daily routine, especially considering that stop lights in particular rely on colors to get their message across — a very important message that is.
But there is hope for color absent people — the Uni-Light. Besides having normal colors for not so color blind people, the Uni-Light features shapes in addition to colors to help people discern when exactly it’s ok to go, stop, or…speed up to beat the red triangle light. Definitely a good thing that cities around the country should look at implementing. ‘Nother pic after the jump
Colorblind folks care to weigh in?

Fancy the short 140 or less way of communication? You’re not alone. Contrary to popular belief, Twitter hasn’t really stalled. In fact, it’s stronger than ever. According to Pingdom.com, Twitter users typed out over one billion tweets. In January, that figure climbed to 1.2 billion. 1.2 billion tweets per month equates to roughly 40 million per day! For February, that number can only go up as more and more people (and kegerators, and christmas trees, and *insert Twitter-enabled object here) take to the 140 way of life.
By Pingdom.com’s metrics and the metrics of many other sites, while traffic appears to have slowed, the rate at which Tweets are pumped out clearly hasn’t. Have you embraced the 140 way of life yet?

The ever persistent iPhone/Verizon rumor comes and goes in what seems like monthly cycles. The rumors are brought on by god knows what as there are plenty of reasons and clues pointing both towards and away a CDMA iPhone for VZW. Of course, with AT&T’s current plight, the case for a VZW bound iPhone is stronger than ever with VZW even letting a few of their own voice their own opinions, saying something along the lines that Verizon would rock the iPhone sooo much better. One exec in particular, CTO Anthony Melone, just so happens to be one of those supporters.
Late Thursday, Verizon CTO Anthony Melone stated that the company has taken appropriate measures in regards to upgrading their network for “iPhone-like data traffic”. His wording is careful and clever. He doesn’t come straight out and say “we’re getting the iPhone” or “we upgraded our network specifically for the iPhone” instead, softly stepping around the direct issue.
However you interpret the data here as well as the other rumors that have floated past your senses, it’s common sense to assume a CDMA iPhone will come at some point. How or when as well as what it will look like are all up in the air, as are questions surrounding Verizon’s claims. Is Verizon really prepared for data spikes attributed to a bajillion iPhone users? We shall see…
