Who wants a nice bag of freshly popped popcorn or decadent rich chocolate when you can have something so much better? What could be better than fresh popcorn or chocolate? Beans. But, beans pose a small problem. They taste much better when warm, something that isn’t exactly common straight from the can. Computer squatters and bean lovers everywhere rejoice. The USB Bean Microwave is your gadget that will effectively blend your two loves and bring a new sense of wholeness to your life. Supposedly, the brains behind the beans, Heinz, have found a way to use mobile phone frequencies specially tuned to certain wavelengths in order to achieve the cooked food we human beings so desire. Moving into the realm of mobile cooking on a whole new level, Heinz is also reportedly working on a way to use lithium ion batteries to power mini microwaves of the future. Exciting huh! For now, the product is considered the smallest microwave in the world and would make a neat addition to any nerds gadget stockpile. Too bad it is still in “beta” form. Hopefully this USB mini Bean Microwave gets good customer feedback so production can get kicked into high gear. Let’s just hope they leave that $160 price tag at home.
