Love to travel light and efficient? Have a knack for novelty flash drives/gadgets? Look no further than the Washing Machine 3-Port USB Hub Card Reader Clock Combo. Whew! It’s quite a mouthful to say yet the entire package is roughly the size of a rubiks cube. Obviously this USB appendage won’t wash your laundry. Why someone would want a miniature washing machine sitting next to their computer is beyond me. Hey, I won’t judge you. We all have our crutches. Moving on, this buffet of words does manage to fulfill the rest of it’s promises with 3 USB ports for whatever other crazy house hold appliances turned flash drive you may have, a card reader that supports XD, M2, T-Flash, SD/MMC, MS card, and finally — the most important of all — a clock. Green isn’t your thing? Sorry guys and gals, that’s your only choice.

As weird and awkward as this meshing of various forms of life is, I still kinda want one. Yes, I’m weird…

If you were like me you had a big 40 gallon tub that was full of hundreds of mixed lego sets giving you an unlimited number of possibilities to show off to the world your creative imagination. While there were gadgets such as the Lego Flash Drive, the Lego MP3 Player, and the Lego Phone, some were still left wanting more. The “all-in-one” laptop cooler

usb-netbook-cooler_2

Laptop coolers serve a vital part to many mobile users as it keeps their laptops from melting and their legs from receiving 3rd degree burns.  Not much has changed in the laptop cooler market as their really isn’t much you can do with them.  Add some new colors and shapes and that’s about all there is to it.  However, Brando has taken the boring and single minded laptop cooler and made it into a multi-tasking genius by adding a hard drive dock and USB hub on board as well.  Now instead of merely sucking down precious energy just to keep your lappy cool, you can suck down energy while plugging in up to 3 USB devices by way of the 3-port USB up as well as inserting any 2.5″ SATA drive up to 250GB.  Essentially, Brando’s new laptop cooler is kinda-sorta like a “lite” dock as it doesn’t have any outputs, but still brings more to the table than a traditional cooler.  This is definitely a nice addition to the rather boring laptop cooler market and will surely push some people to pick one up just for the added USB hub and hard drive dock functionality.  However, one question remains.  Why is it limited to 250GB hard drives?  2.5″ drives go up to 500GB now.  Maybe the drives physical size is a tad to big?  Who knows.  (This is where you educate me).  Interested parties can pick their laptop cooler/hard drive dock/3-port USB hub up from Brando’s site for a mere $33.
