Don’t care to join VZW’s ranks to enjoy LTE in the U.S. of A. but still want some super fast speeds? The other gigantor national carrier, AT&T, announced today plans to bring sweet, succulent LTE to a handful of additional cities including:
- Akron, Canton & Cleveland, OH
- Naples, FL
- Bloomington, Lafayette & Muncie, IN
- Baton Rouge and New Orleans, LA
- St. Louis, MO
- Bryan-College Station, TX
- Staten Island, NYC
While it’s still a far cry from Verizon’s already sprawling LTE network, it is nice to see AT&T seemingly racing ahead to upgrade their network to something much closer to actual “4G”. That said, AT&T did not provide specific dates for the cities listed above, merely stating that the new rollout would be taking place through April and May.
If you happen to see a nifty “LTE” indicator light up on your phone, be sure to snap a few shots, send us some pics and tell us about your experience.
