Does Microsoft even care about the Zune?

It has been almost 3 years now for the zune.  A look at its short history shows us that at first Microsoft had big plans for its little media box.  Has that momentum stalled?  After the first generation, the second generation brouth a re-design (slight), but the biggest change was software related.  A big plus to point out is that so far all new software upgrades have been backwards compatible with older zunes.  What about hardware?  You can have the greatest software…

Dr. Dre headphones…Audio Nirvana or waste of money?

Dr. Dre headphones…Audio Nirvana or waste of money?

Dr. Dre, along with Monster, have just released a follow up to their Beats over the ear headphones released several months ago.  These new “beats” are in ear headphones developed with a “Tangle free” wire and “bass so deep it feels like there is a subwoofer in your head”  Well, since they’re just now available for shipping, I can’t yet comment on if the sound quality claims actually live up to the hype.  However, the…

Apple’s In-ear headphones now available!

I would consider myself pretty close to an audiophile. I use AAC 256 for music on my iPhone because of space limitations and the battery life is already terrible enough. The latest being $249. Expensive by more casual listeners perspective, but on the audiophile…

iriver’s SPINN available Oct. 3rd, up for pre-sale…NOW!

It may be hard to believe for most of the general public, but there are other mp3 player brands out there besides Apple and its iPod.  Iriver has been around for quite awhile, though never enjoying the same widespread uptake as the iPod.  The iriver SPINN is somewhat of a new design from iriver.  It’s not your typical candybar style player.  It has a very unique “spin” control that is supposed to make navigation more natural and fun. Said player will be…

Quicker backups on iTunes 8.0

Tonight I finally had a chance to sit down and connect my iPhone to iTunes and back it up. Wow is all I can say. Back ups went from around 90 minutes down to around 10! Still kinda lengthy, but much better compared to what it’s been. Hopefully iPhone OS 2.1 further reduces the backup times. Ontop of the shorter backups, the “dramatically improved battery life” has me excited. I’d like to get back to living each day without planning my next move…
