  • Is your PSP-3000 screen looking a little unhappy?

Internet forums have been ablaze the last couple of days with angry psp-300 owners.  At first the screen was something one would sit and simply drool not so much.  It seems some nasty little surprises have popped up. Interlacing, jagged edges, scan lines and some pretty nasty pixelation are rearing their ugly heads in what is quickly becoming a nightmare for Sony.  One would think that Sony would hop to it and issue a fix for their disgruntled customers ASAP.  Sorry disgrun...

Today Apple held their quarterly conference that they had in fact sold over  their goal of 10 million iPhones in the  calendar year of 2008.  An interesting fact is  the 6.9 million iPhones sold during Apple's  fourth fiscal quarter added up to more  iPhones than sales of the original iPhone over its entire lifetime!   During the conference Apple CEO, Steve Jobs said he believed Apple has to remain the best in order to stay ahead of the all of the manufacturers clamoring to relea...

Hello All, I've decided to update the look of my blog to reflect my personal tastes.  As you can see and have read, I am a big Apple fan, though also a critic of them.    I hope you all like the new look as I know I do. Mike...

In an effort to keep up with Apple and Google, RIM is working on pushing out their own app store specifically for Blackberry.  With the mobile market becoming more and more saturated with Mobile internet users, mobile app stores are going to be the next BIG thing!  One difference between Apple and RIM's app store is that RIM will let developers keep 80% of the revenue differing from Apple's 75% for developers, and will be using paypal for transactions.  Developers can began submitting apps fo...
  • King of Blackberries…9220?

Word on the net a circulating of a beast of a Blackberry. The name floating around is the Magnum. It's supposed to have the basic look of a Bold, with a slightly smaller footprint like the javelin, and a touchscreen like the Storm! This is truly the best Blackberry RIM has ever made if all holds to be true. The amazing keyboard Blackberries are known for, the new innovative "click" touchscreen, and smaller form factor make it quite an impressive Berry. It's not supposed to be announced unti...
  • DRM…The cancer of the digital age!
    by Mike
    Posted October 15th, 2008 at 5:42 pm
What do you think of, or what emotions fill you when you here the word DRM? For the majority of the population their response is: "What is DRM?". For more tech savy individuals I imagine hate, anger, outrage, and rebellion come out. Why does something supposedly so "good" cause such strong reactions? DRM is a product of several groups including Sony, Apple, Microsoft, MPAA, and RIAA just to name a few. There are many different types of DRM but all of the different types have one common goal...

Microsoft's marketing team gets big kudos for their latest and greatest show of creativity...Windows 7. It seems they are ditching the old naming scheme and instead focusing on a more "simple and straight forward" approach. Whatever floats your boat Steve! At first to some it looks as a good decision for Microsoft to step back from the technological disaster that is Vista and simplify things a little. Microsoft's own Mike Nash reasoned that they picked the name because it was the 7th release...
  • Drive Assist Cellphone call holding software
    by Mike
    Posted October 15th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
Ever wanted to ensure little Jimmy or Sally is paying attention to the road and texting or calling friends? The developers at Aegis Mobility have answered your prayers. They developed a piece of software called "DriveAssistT" that can "detect" if your phone is in motion at "car" speeds. If it detects such a speed, the DA will alert your carrier and effectively pause all incoming calls and texts. All paused calls and messages aren't blocked entirely; the caller or tester is notified that you a...

  • Blackberry Pearl 8220

    Posted October 13th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
Do you love Blackberries but long for some flip phone action? Not to worry folks. The Blackberry Pearl 8220 is now availabe! T-mobile is pricing the flip at a respectable $149.99 after rebates. Specs are pretty much identical as the 8100 pearl save for the new body. While in the technology department it doesn't bring anything new and exciting it is some consolation to those who have been holding out for a clamshell berry. One might ask why they didn't take the processor and memory from the ...

Have you been (im)patiently waiting for the Blackberry Bold, Storm, or Curve 2. Have you already made your decision on which next gen Berry you're going to get? Well time to go back to the drawing boards. Boygenius and his infamous team of ninjas have gotten word that RIM is hard at work on the second generation storm and even the early stages of a third generation! On top of that, if you thought the Bold was the big papa of RIM's arsenal, think again. Word has it that RIM is developing a "mo...
  • Does Apple even listen to their customers?
    by Mike
    Posted October 9th, 2008 at 11:50 pm
...survey says NO! So far the news about the next OS release isn't very inspiring. Really apple...come on. A redesigned (slightly) mobile safari, Google street view and emoji icons!! Thanks for nothing. Where's copy and paste, landscape keyboard system wide, video recorder, MMS...the list goes on. I can think of at least a dozen things the ENTIRE iPhone community has been asking for instead of the crap Apple is adding to the 2.2 upgrade. What, does Apple have two guys in a closet developing...
