Is it really any surprise though?  I mean, its been a process in the making.  Since Vista’s complete disaster of a release, people un-happy with Vista have started looking to either Mac or Linux.  Each year since Net Share Applications begain conducting studies on OS usage in 2004, Apple has gained steadily chipping away at Microsoft’s percentage.  Is this trend going to keep going, or will it level out and Microsoft regain their lost customers.  After seeing early pictures and videos of Windows 7, Microsoft does appear to finally catching up into modern times, however, what remains to be seen is if they can stop the outflow of users, and/or pull switchers back in.
