On top of the all-in-one computer I mentioned earlier, Lenovo is releasing 3 new Y series notebooks.  Designed around HD multimedia, the 14″ Y450, 15″ Y550, and 16″ Y650 will all have 16:9 glossy displays and Nvidia GFX graphics to showcase movies in widescreen format and to allow colors to pop off the screen all without breaking a sweat.  A multi-touch trackpad, up to 500GB hard drive, and up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM round out a rather appealing set of notebooks.  The design of the notebooks is equally impressive.  A soft black lid with a hexagonal pattern, along with a “rusty oragne” colored accent give the notebook series some visual appeal.  Other honorable mentions are that they are down to a mere 1″ at their thinnest points as well as tipping the scales at a rather light 5.6 pounds.  If you have your credit card out and ready to swipe, put it away.  They won’t be ready until March.  Pricing is expected to be start around $829 for the Y450/Y550 and $1,199 for the Y650.

Notebooks aren’t the only thing Lenovo has on their minds these days for their S10 netbook series will also benefit from new features.  What kind of features you ask?  For starters Lenovo will be debuting “Quickstart”, which is a launcher that will allow users near-instant access to a web browser, music player, photo viewer, instant messaging tools and Skype all without having to fire up the main OS!  Not stopping there, Lenovo will also be joining the social networking scene with its own tool: Lenovo Social.  Lenovo Social will allow users to access multiple social networking sites all through one organized portal to make social life easier.  Said sites supported so far are MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr.  Veriface facial recognition, a common feature in some of their other laptops will be trickling down to the S10 series as well.  If you can’t wait until March to grab on of these killer netbooks you can head on over to lenovosocial.com to get an early start the Lenovo party.  By the way, you might want to put a few pennies away to save up for the $349 starting price for admission.
