Every consider loading a bunch of your favorite apps on a memory stick so no matter what computer  you at you can do what you want without having to sweat the small things such as if you admin privileges or not?  If that sly devil is you, Option has something for you.  Option is known for making some of AT&T’s USB modems and is venturing into the consumer market on their own with the uCan.  The uCan is a USB memory stick that comes preloaded with a host of applications and drivers.  You can tinker with all of the uCan applications and save documents created with uCan apps straight to the drive.  All without leaving a trace on the host computer.  The drives will be sold through wireless carriers and the apps on said drives will also be chosen by the carrier in charge.   Ouch.  It would be a lot easier to just rig your own drive up  yourself.  It isn’t yet known if you will be able to add your own applications to uCan, however one would surely hope that you can or else you’re at the mercy of the controlling carrier making the uCan already obsolete.  What do you think?  Are you going to pick one up as soon as your carrier picks them up?  Let us know!

Awesome idea….except for letting the carriers choose the programs. Seems like we would be back to square one with that
