While wars currently rage between labels, copyright holders, RIAA-like companies, and consumers alike, a small movement may be on the verge of starting. A new band, “We Are The Fallen” has risen from the ashes that was Evanescence. While many will confuse the old and the new, Ben Moody, the co-founder of Evanescence sees the two bands as walking the path of life on this earth peacefully rather than resorting to typical celebrity drama/bashing. So what exactly is the big deal with this new band. At first glance many will more than likely confuse them for Evanescence as it is again a group of guys with a girl fronting the band. The real difference isn’t in the structure of the band, but in how they will share their creations with the rest of the world. Hint: Don’t think of “big CD releases”, instead, think of more sporadic updates. Their approach is exciting to say the least…

With the race for alternative energy sources to replace our dependence on non-renewable sources grows more intense, scientists are looking for more exotic and unique ways of supplying energy to our gadgets and electronics. Moving past carbon based fuels, wind, and solar power alternatives, biomass seems to be taking the favoring eye of the military. Biomass doesn’t must mean “plants”. Do little and big military robots who are on a mission to kill and eat humans sound like the sort of cute little Johnny 5’s you want running around the planet?

When you hear the words “auto industry” in this day and age, it is hard to think of a properous and youthful market. One that is expanding and on the leading edge of automotive technology. However, we all know that the U.S. auto industry is anything but “leading edge” or prosperous. On device app stores while still all the rage are now coming off of their peak. Last summer with the arrival of the Apple App Store, several manufacturers and companies including RIM, Google, and Nokia just to name a few announced plans for their very own app stores. There’s only one problem, the innovation and features that keep customers happy and constantly purchasing never came from “the network” (carrier branded stores). Look at the small app centers that carriers have run for the last decade, from AT&T to Verizon to T-Mobile. You could access these pathetic excuses of WAP shopping goodness from practically any phone…but who actually did? I know I didn’t. The app selection was abysmal at the absolute best and apps and services were often overpriced. That isn’t exactly the best combination if you ask me. So, now that the App Store hoopla is starting to die down, who is trying to break in and steal the spotlight multiple months late?

With all of the lawsuits surrounding Apple and AT&T concerning the iPhone and signal reception it’s no secret that they want to stop the flow of lawsuits. Though the method they use is less than ideal.

The World Wide Web is quickly becoming the one stop shop if you will for everything in our lives. Everything from cooking classes, to how-to mechanic videos, to live concerts. Coming off of yesterday’s review of BerryWeather, HandyWeather is following closely vying for your dollar and dedicated spot on your berry. As far as weather information is concerned, HandyWeather does a good job of laying out the information on the screen in a decent manner that is easy to read. Though, while the app isn’t ugly by any means, I much prefer BerryWeather’s visual appearance and overall more “modern” feel. Is it the right Blackberry weather for you?

We’ve all had times where we were trying to grab that last gummy bear underneath the seat but just can’t quite see where your paw is grabbing. Sure, you could use one of those little keychain lights. We’ve seen some pretty unique uses for lego in the tech world such as the Lego Flash Drive, the Lego USB hub, and even a Lego MP3 player. While many of you out there either don’t have a Wordpress blog or care in the world to even start one, there may be several of you fine individuals out there who are looking to dip their toes into this whole blogging thing. Besides the obvious and more often talked about domain names, server hosts, etc., the biggest question you need to ask yourself is: “What are you going to blog about?” Picking a too general or too specific topic/genre will hamper your ability to grow and attract readers. We’ll assume you’ve already made it through the whole “finding yourself” stage as well as server set up and the other beginning set up junk.
