While the Blackberry is the hands down winner of the corporate and workhorse world, the consumer oriented side and more “design” side of things aren’t really the Blackberries strongest points.  Even on the newest models such as the Bold and Storm, many of the apps while extremely functional, look as if they were written and developed 8-10 years ago.  BerryWeather thankfully is bucking this trend and manages to come off as a great weather app that looks like it belongs on an iPhone.  Come inside for screenshots and the full feature rundown!

Even though I have and still love my iPhone AND am looking forward to 3.0 (hw and sw), I still find myself constantly looking and touching the Bold everytime I walk into an AT&T store.  That Crackberry addiction is strong…it truly doesn’t ever go away.  Who knows, maybe the Bold replacement will bring me back.  One thing is for sure, if I had a Blackberry right now, I would definitely pay the $19.95 for this wonderful looking and full featured weather app without hesitation.  BerryWeather for the Blackberry…Best blackberry weather app yet!  For more information, you can head on over to the BerryWeather beta thread at Pinstack.

MobiHand, in my opinion and experience, is not reputable. I recently downloaded 2 apps from MobiHand for my Storm, DownCounter and Fart Storm. I had issues with both apps (DownCounter is not really compatible with the Storm’s touchscreen (although MobiHand’s site says it is) and Fart Storm’s farts are not realistic). I went through the process of posting reviews for both apps on the MobiHand site, but MobiHand does not post submitted reviews. That’s a shady business practice, if you ask me. Seems to me that MobiHand is taking advantage of the void in available Storm apps by misrepresenting compatibility of their apps and not posting reviews, negative or otherwise.

Hey jim thanks for the reply. I used to sell a few Blackberry themes through mobihand and I know getting in contact with a person was often long and difficult. Sorry to hear about your troubles. On a side note, what’s your experiences with other popular Blackberry stores such as Crackberry.com and Berry Review. (I know there’s a high probability that those sites also use mobihands store system). Just wondering if the different management helped issues at all.
