    by Mike
    Posted March 27th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
All good things in life grow old. The young and beautiful become aged and withered. Even the almighty Xbox 360 and all of its gaming prowess is starting to turn the page on the latter half of its life as it is already 4 years old...the beginning of old in the technological world. Blizzard's Rob Pardo has revealed that his company has participated in talks with Microsoft on their next gen replacement for the Xbox 360. All that is currently known is that the new Xbox will have better input...
  • Win Se7en theme by Kissberry.
    by Mike
    Posted March 27th, 2009 at 4:20 pm
Another day...another spectacular Blackberry theme.  This time it comes by way of  Kissberry.  The theme, Se7en (not to be confused with the simliarly named Se7en theme from Hedone design) is a port of the the Windows 7 style and design straight to the Blackberry ending up in a nice mash up of style and usability.  For the Bold version of the theme there is a 5-icon circle of icons at the bottom and center of the home screen.  Highlights of Se7en include: Pop up windows for Calendar...
  • Crash Test T-Shirt so funny it’ll make your head roll…
    by Mike
    Posted March 27th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
In what is probably the funniest thing I've seen all day, (I have a sick, juvinille sense of what), the lego crash test dummy t-shirt is sure to garner a few laughs from you friends.  If you have any sort of humor in your bones, I suggest you get this T-Shirt NOW (pick me up one while you at it...I'd very much appreciate it) which can be had for the low price of  $20.  Which if you ask me is a small price to pay for one of the finer things in life...laughter.  I'd very much ap...
  • Carl Zeiss Cinemizer Plus makes your look geeky…still…I want them
    by Mike
    Posted March 27th, 2009 at 1:34 pm
In what can be seen as the ultimate mobile movie goers dream, the Carl Zeiss Cinemizer Plus glasess will immediately differentiate you from the rest of the crowd upon putting them on.  Besides being the first video glasses that will work with both the iPhone and iPhone 3G, they will surely be the cause of  people giving you new names such as nerdy, geeky, dumb, etc, but you'll be laughing all the way home as while those mere mortals area walking aimless looking at boring 'ol life thorugh t...
  • LG GM200: Dolby and FM Tuner inside
    by Mike
    Posted March 27th, 2009 at 12:49 pm
With all of the tech loving world continually lusting after highend and most of the time expensive phones, it makes sense to take a step back and look at some less than top end models for the broader range of what people can actually afford.  Today's phone '0 bargin comes by of LG in the form of the LG GM200.  While it doesn't have any whizbang features that launch to the head of the class, it does have a respectable set that will get you though the day no less.  Those more frugal feature...
  • Want to discover new music? Try Fizy
    by Mike
    Posted March 27th, 2009 at 12:01 pm
I consider myself a fairly musical person.  I constantly find myself searching (many times fruitlessly) for a new song or new band that somehow slipped by my radar as I get tired of the same thing too quick.  The drive to keep finding new material is what keep me going however.  If you yourself have this sort of problem as well, Fizy might be just the thing you've been searching for. (more...)...

  • Avatar support and Facebook Chat now included in latest IM+ 7 release for Blackberry
    by Mike
    Posted March 27th, 2009 at 10:19 am
Yes another social butterfly post.  Forgive me.  Socialness seems to be all the rage these days.  Everyone has it seems 3 or more different messaging accounts.  I guess one isn't good enough anymore.  Though I can understand this if you have many friends of whom each one is partial to a particular client, then things get dicey for you.  That is where multi-chat apps come in to save the day.  Instead of having five different apps running with five different chat windows each, everythin...
  • Handwriting recognition coming to Android by way of Diotek
    by Mike
    Posted March 27th, 2009 at 9:17 am
If typing on an onscreen keyboard is too "fake", and a real keyboard is too 1991 for you, then Diotek may have a solution for your needs.  The clever developers at Diotek have continuted on their handwriting recognition software success from Windows Mobile and are releasing a version for Android.  From now on you can just "write" whatever you want on your screen and the software is smart enough *let's hope* to correctly identify what you are trying to write.  If you don't know English or ...

    by Mike
    Posted March 27th, 2009 at 9:07 am
So your buddy has been bragging about his 8GB in his PC.  Smack him in the face with a rebuttal of 192GB!  Eh, maybe not quite that much.  But at least know that it's possible...not very economical though.  Intel's latest Nehalem chipset as most of you know allows anstonishingly large amounts of RAM.  Dell is welcoming with open arms you professional users you, with their latest Precision T7500 which has 12 available slots for DDR3 1333MHz RAM.  The largest sticks of RAM you can get ri...

If you are a student in need of basic and more advnaced office programs in order to get your school work done, Microsoft would like to hook you up this fine and glories Friday.  Seems that even though they are a multi-billion dollar company, they can still sympathize with the toll the economoy and a college work/class schedule takes on the your learners paychecks.  Because of this, Microsoft has decided to offer a 91% discount on Office Ultimate 2007 for students.  That's right, you can g...
  • Abledbody brings tech love to the disabled
    by Mike
    Posted March 27th, 2009 at 6:37 am
We as tech lovers may get all excited and drool happy over the latest Wii controller or laptop and get sucked into our own little worlds, but laptops, MP3 players, and cellphones aren't the only gadgets that are manufactured.  I would raise the thought that disabled people should or can benefit from technology even more than those that are not disabled.  While we are tapping away on our third cellphone, a disabled person may be searching for information on the latest electroic wheelchair, ...
