Facebook phishing attack [Uh-oh]

  • April 29, 2009 3:40 pm

If you are a frequent Facebook visitor, take heed and know that there are some baddies out there today trying to steal your info.  If you get a message that says (replace “YOURFRIEND” with a real friends name):

YOURFRIEND sent you a message.

Subject: Hello

“Visit http://www.facebook.com/l/4253f;http://fbaction.net/”

DON’T FOLLOW THE LINK!  You’ll notice in the picture, the link so nicely circled by Tech Crunch is not Facebook.  Therefore, don’t enter you sign info.  Close the page immediately.  Facebook is already working on the issue and as we speak the phishing site is being blacklisted by many.  Don’t fall into the trap folks.
