For those of you Panasonic handset lovers who have been scratching your heads and doing endless circles around your living room anxiously awaiting word of Android touching down on the Japanese based manufacturer can now sit down, or now even walk in squares if they wish. Panasonics head honcho, Keisuke Ishii said that they are “seriously considering developing an Android-based handset and entering overseas mobile phone markets in fiscal 2010.” While it isn’t Pany’s first handset, not by a long shot, it is their first Android device. And we all know how Android is shaping up to be the underdog that could in ‘09 paving way for an all out assault come 2010. As far as any other details go such as how many handsets or any specific specs on any particular handsets Mr. Ishii declined to comment on leaving plenty of room for your rumor generator to go into full swing. Fire away guys.
