  • CrunchPad to compete with theoretical Apple Tablet?
    by Mike
    Posted July 31st, 2009 at 12:10 pm
An interesting war could soon be starting. No it's not a war of man and military machines, but instead a war between an underdog and seasoned veteran. The underdog, Michael Arrington of TechCrunch teamed up with a Singapore tech startup, Fusion Garage to get his CrunchPad idea into reality. From the beginning, the CrunchPad was to be a $200 touchscreen tablet device that would eschew the typical local storage and focus primarily on the web in both program usage and storage (as the device do...

Adding a geeky flare to your living quarters isn't an easy task. You want people to know you're a geek, but you don't want to look too geeky to the point you have to imagine what girls look like....that's never a good thing mind you. One way to bluntly (not quite) reveal your inner passions is by way of the Ninja Star Coat Hook. The actual h...
  • Apple pointing iPhone OS instability finger at jailbreaking
    by Mike
    Posted July 31st, 2009 at 8:30 am
Apple's stance on jailbreaking is nothing new. They hate it. They want it written into law as illegal (stupid). Many people who have a love for the devices potential are often left wanting more when Apple goes on and does truly stupid things....like banning GV apps. Because of the constant tug and pull of power that seems to go on between AT&T;, Apple, and the iPhone end user, many users take matters into their own hands by jailbreaking their devices. It truly is one of the best things you...

Novelty gadgets while not usually worthwhile in regards to actual usefulness when features are concerned surprise us every once in a while. This gadget probably isn't one of them. The gadget in question is the Chocolate Bar Mouse. Instead of pushing around a common, boring mouse, do something different. Stand out in the computing age with a mouse that looks like a a bar of chocolate with a bite taken out of it. Now I love chocolate. So see this makes me want to go eat a bar myself. Howe...

  • AESIR Embler flies like, looks like UFO. Isn’t UFO.
    by Mike
    Posted July 31st, 2009 at 6:06 am
Sci-fi buffs no doubt have some sort of fascination with UFO's and alien creatures from other planets. Whether they're here for friendship and lifelong happiness or to conquer our soles and consume our brains, the unknown that surrounds extraterrestrial issues and UFO's is hard to ignore. An aerospace company by the name of AESIR has finally developed a vehicle/device that takes a more traditional "UFO"-ish look for one of their unmanned aircraft that is actually stable and more or less reli...
  • iriver to bring Android based PMP and new e-reader to market?
    by Mike
    Posted July 31st, 2009 at 5:54 am
For now, hop on aboard the rumor train and get ready for a ride. A ride full of iriver rumors of juicy gadgets to get you salivating. The electronics company who was once known for amazing mp3 players such as the iHP-120 has of late focused more on the lower capacity/end of the market with players that haven't really wowed us. However, according to rumors from the Australian urban jungle say iriver is about to sing a different tune. A tune that includes an Android based PMP and a new e-rea...
  • Fight the good fight and stick it to the man…the greedy man
    by Mike

When you're in a hurry and have to leave someone a message on their voicemail, you want to do it right this second, not 15, 20, or 30 seconds from now. Another reason for the quick message is not only because of time constraints but more importantly to save a few pennies. Those precious seconds you're stuck on the phone listening to some stupid recording when you could be yapping away yourself costs against your minutes, and if you're over your minutes they go on your bill as nasty overages....
  • Apple really doesn’t care about their app developers
    by Mike
    Posted July 30th, 2009 at 10:00 am
Take this information and store it in your little minds and step back from the situation and examine it. Heck, even a thousand miles away the outcome is clear as day, same as it has always been. The app store approval process is so broken there really isn't any hope. Between incompetent and baseless app rejections as well as less than helpful support staff, the App Store is setting it self up for a mass exodus if these instances keep up. The latest blatant example of Apple "we could care l...

The basic gist of the HTC Diamond theme is the 5 fixed icon dock ...
  • Snow Leopard theme for BlackBerry
    by Mike
    Posted July 30th, 2009 at 9:37 am
While Snow Leopard is visually pretty much identical to Leopard, it would seem that BlackBerry themes marketed as "Snow Leopard" themes wouldn't be worth the money since you Leopard themes are a dime a dozen. That would mainly be true unless you were talking about amusic's theme titled "Snow Leopard. Featuring a fit and finish that is honestly the best yet of any Apple clone theme. With glassy shine all over coupled with the nicely re-created Snow Leopard UI means this theme will bring a si...
  • Clueless couple follows GPS to the end…an end 400 miles farther
    by Mike
    Posted July 30th, 2009 at 8:54 am
While technology can be a great tool, it does at times have its shortcomings and hiccups. Take for example a couple traveling in Italy. Their original destination was Capri, however, they accidently typed in Carpi. Ok big deal you say, they typed it in wrong and the GPS got them there perfectly. In reality, the real "hiccup" wasn't the GPS navigating them to the wrong destination but instead the clueless couple who kept driving on and on completely oblivious to their surroundings. One wou...
