OS 5.0 leaked for Bold, Tour, and 8900
While Bold users may still be recouping from the excitement the latest AT&T update brought them, the more daredevilish users may be over and done with that already as they’ve likely had that firmware version for weeks now. While AT&T is still messing around with oh so old 4.6 Bold firmware, the real action is in the 5.0 scene. Some brave developer or insider with special access to pre-release BlackBerry OS builds was kind enough to open the door and let loose versions of the 5.0 software for the Bold, Tour, and 8900. Oh joy! I know you’re ready to start the digital exchange so enough talking. Get downloading!
- 8900: 22.214.171.124
- Bold: 126.96.36.199
- Tour: 188.8.131.52

So Big Red is like a disease to you and you can’t fathom moving to Euro-land just to purchase and *fully* use a Euro-spec Droid Milestone? No worries dear reader as a screenshot showing a reported “dev only” section of a MotoBLUR site shows something very interesting indeed. See that circled bit of [...]
Oh German readers, today is your day. Well, not literally in the sense you’ll get any physical gratification, but you’ll at least get hope for near future gratification. The Motorola Droid which is far and wide the most anticipated Android phone to date is mere days from a U.S. release. Lucky for [...]
Companies get ideas, services, and products patented everyday. If it’s an idea, they may never even implement or use it in any current or future products. They’re protecting themselves. Because of this, we can’t take every patent we see literally or as if it is “set in stone” but instead more as [...]
The BlackBerry Storm 2 is an infant in the public’s eye yet reports are already circulating this morning that a rather nasty WiFi bug has made itself known. The issue stems around the device being unable to fully connect to a WiFi network which of course means no data and simultaneous voice for you. [...]
After looking over some spec’s for Sprint’s 2010 lineup over at BGR, upon arriving at the very last bullet point my train of thought gets stopped dead in it’s tracks. It simply states
“No tethering for phones that require “Everything Plans”.
Essentially, that puts the kibosh on all smartphones. Pardon me if I’m over [...]
Penetrating and actually turning a buck in the lucrative and downright massive mobile user market in China has been the dream of many cellphone manufacturers. Given the Chinese government’s tight control however, such dreams have stayed at just that as stiff regulations and often odd rules make entering the market so difficult some manufacturers [...]
I’ll give you a minute to come down off of your certain gadget fueled high before I break some not so happy news….
Ok, now that, that is out of your system Ill get on with it. The GSM HTC Hero w/ AT&T specific 3G bands is coming to our continent. The bad [...]

It doesn’t seem like that long ago that custom “bottom dock” BlackBerry themes were the “it” thing with theme developers anxious over a UI layout that seemed rather simple. After watching the clip above, you can truly see how quickly BlackBerry themes have progressed in the relatively short [...]
Not content with paying off government and coating them with lies, it appears AT&T has moved on to us bloggers and the tech community as their next target. Only problem is, we have a brain and are capable of seeing past their PR nonsense. Everyone knows AT&T’s network blows epic amounts of private [...]

Not to steal any thunder from CDMA/Verizon users and their new found Jesus Christ Digital Superstar (aka: The Moto Droid), but the GSM Droid steals my attention in the video above. If you’re not quite sure you want to [...]
