Well well well. If it isn’t Palm and the Pre in the news again. We love hearing good stories and often dread the “but there’s a bad part” part. It appears the roller coast Palm Pre owners have been on as of late isn’t about to stop anytime soon. First, as not to spoil the fun, and because the best always goes last, we’ll start with the bad.
- Bad: The Paid Pre apps and webOS update are delayed until a future date — obviously — (next week?). The update will be 1.2.1.
- And now the good: Possible lawsuits and USB-IF angry eyes be dammed, Palm is focused on iTunes syncing for the Palm Pre as the next update will bring back the controversial feature. The last time it took all of 5 minutes and a new vendor ID to get iTunes syncing up and running again. This time was a bit more involved however: 2-1/2 hours. It’ll be amusing to see how long this keeps going.
**Note to Palm lawyers: Prep yourselves for an upcoming lawsuit.
Palm seems to love the attention this cat and mouse game creates. Too bad that attention can’t be transformed into $$
