Android 2.0, 3G, WiFi, 5″ touchscreen and more coming to the Dell MID
Don’t you love it when rumors, particularly good rumors transgress from unicorn land into reality? That’s a pretty easy one to answer. Of course you do. Details of an Android packing Dell MID will no doubt get you salivating like a fat piece of properly cooked steak. As far as details go, the device spied above comes with Android 2.0 (Eclair), WiFi/Bluetooth/3G WWAN, 5″ 800 x 400 capacitive touchscreen as well as a dual-LED flash 5mp camera out back. The only thing leaving me concerned is yet again the battery power (or lack thereof) under the hood — a paltry 1,300 mAh. Let’s hope that Dell tweaks the software to the fullest in order to make the most of that toddle battery it’s packin’ inside. Want to see what it looks like? Well come on in…

Not to steal any thunder from CDMA/Verizon users and their new found Jesus Christ Digital Superstar (aka: The Moto Droid), but the GSM Droid steals my attention in the video above. If you’re not quite sure you want to [...]
HTC’s current lack or recognition for Android 1.6 (Donut) has left many HTC users feeling hurt and unloved. Even though Cupcake/1.6 doesn’t bring anything that earth shattering, Android people love their updates. Almost as much as CrackBerry users. So it is understandable that a lack of 1.6 love could cause some problems. [...]

I haven’t yet touched and felt the new Storm 2 for myself. But I can assure you I will be heading to the local Verizon store today to give it a try. Am I going to buy one? No! But after reading Zdnet’s review, my initial excitement at hardware based improvements [...]
Looking back but a mere month ago, hearing the word “CyanogenMOD” meant sadness and sorrow as it was at that time Google sent Mr “Mod a cease-and-desist order because of his Android tinkering. Thankfully a common ground was reached and Cyanogen could continue on pleasing many Android tinkers across the world. To mark [...]
Don’t let the image above fool you, BlackBerries aren’t the only thing coming to town. Simply looking at what we have currently seen of upcoming handsets, Verizon already has quite the holiday season forming with the Moto Droid and Eris. Android isn’t everyone’s favorite mobile OS however (a travesty indeed). For those [...]
The Sony Xperia X3 is so far my favorite device leading into the end of the year. While the X1 and X2 were pretty sweet devices, the fact that it was running WinMo pretty much killed it for me. However, with Android and a tweaked UI dubbed “Rachel” coming on the X3, this [...]
Starting in November, US PS3 owners will be able to take advantage of all the streaming goodness Netflix has to offer. Sony’s closest competitor, Microsoft with the Xbox 360, has had Netflix support for almost a year now. The Xbox 360 wasn’t the only piece of hardware to support Netflix however as many [...]
Music preference is a highly subjective topic. People have varying tastes music for a variety of reasons. U2 has stood the test of time in the music scene. While not everyone’s favorite band, U2 has shown that they have what it takes to span the generations. To a digital nerd like [...]
