Xbox Live Dasboard preview sign up closed. First round of updates to go live Friday!
The procrastinating social butterflies out there will no doubt be kicking themselves if they didn’t sign up to be part of the first group of previewers fortunate enough to get their hands on the latest Xbox 360 dashboard update. Said update is reported to be going live Friday for those lucky early adopters. Of course, if delays rear their ugly heads, don’t say I didn’t warn you. The significance of this update is the social aspect that gets added in. Namely Twitter, Facebook, and Last.fm. How much are you really going to tweet away and update your Facebook status on your Xbox seeing as how we all own at least 5 other gadgets that do the same thing? That’s your battle. Personally, I just wish I had a 360. Poor college student = sadness.

One of the greatest things about modern, mobile operating systems is the ability to download updates OTA (Over the air). While the iPhone requires you to tether up (hey, 200+ meg downloads on a mobile device via cellular network is gag inducing) and RIM + carriers haven’t really taken advantage of said feature in [...]
As sad as it is, I don’t have a pimped out gaming PC. I’ve lusted for one for years. I don’t have a preference as to pre-built or custom though I know custom is the way to go for us picky folks. Still, other things keep getting in the way. In [...]
**Update: As RedSpectacle pointed out below, they are not renders. I updated my original post as it is/was slightly confusing. Hopefully some real rendered pics surface in the near term.
Nvidia’s upcoming “Fermi” chipset set to debut on the 300 series desktop graphics will usher in a new era of photo-realistic gaming. I’m [...]
Great jumping Jehoshaphat. HD Wii! Hear that? Oh you missed it? That’s because it was the sound of a single, tiny grain of salt hitting the floor. Which signals how you should treat this rumor. According to a “very reliable source” of Logic-Sunrise (Google translated), the 2nd gen Wii, [...]
Those hoping to see HTC do as Motorola and pass up WinMo 6.5 and instead climb into bed with Android while the world waits for WinMo 7 will be sorely disappointed. According to a recent interview conducted by alibaba.com, HTC’s CEO Peter Chou stated that while the market and their customers in particular are [...]
Ever wonder what Mario would look like naked….and running? Word from Peach is that the great Italian 8-bit man we’ve all come to love is moving on from his video game life to a more lucrative “side business”. From the picture above I’ll let you come to your own conclusions. So long [...]
In the wake of Android 2.0’s grand public unveiling, everyone is talking up how this is the Android we’ve been waiting for. With a truck load of new and exciting features, Android 2.0 is the most competent competitor to the iPhone and iPhone OS yet. So why does it need to get better? [...]
Purchasing your computer at any retail location or online is hardly the same PC once you actually get a working model back to your house. When booting up your new PC for the first time, you go through normal set up with accounts and such. But one thing that has been a pain [...]
Having a friend or loved one pass away is never a fun thing to go through. With a society so entrenched in social networking, the accounts and services that are left behind when the original owner passes often get forgotten and left in a state of “always on”. In the case of Facebook [...]
Chad Ochocinco to all who support “traditional” news based business models: “To hell with the middleman”
The social networking bans making there way across various professional level sports is not only stupid, but extremely ignorant and short sighted on the leagues’ parts. First, by protecting old archaic business models and not embracing a new, modern technology, they are pushing themselves and their message further into irrelevance. Thankfully for us [...]
