Visualize your music with the Equalizer Hat
As far as novelty gifts go, it takes a really, really clever and unique one to really grab my attention. The Equalizer Hat isn’t exactly unique as there are many other hats and articles of clothing that use such a display. Though something about this hat still interests me. Operation is pretty straightforward — simply plug the hat into your MP3 player and blast away. Speed Metal and a light show sure sounds enticing doesn’t it? £19.99 (~ $33 USD) and it’s yours.

Living in the UK and using the internet, particularly any type of torrent or P2P software/service whether legal or illegal is soon going to become a nightmare. The reason for the hoopala is because of an planned change to the Digital Economy Bill currently under debate by Pariliament. The person seeking those changes, [...]

Many people wouldn’t make it through life if it weren’t for music. It feeds the soul. Why am I rambling about music again? Because I like music and the laws that govern music, licensing, copyrights, etc. are so backwards in this country it’s disgusting. Maybe, just maybe my voice along with [...]

Can you believe that just a few years ago, a “cool” ringtone was one of those polyphonic pieces of garbage? Hey, I can’t poke too much fun as even I at one point was captivated by this chorus of simple notes strung together (my how we’ve come so far…). These days, making your [...]

Creating a reason to spend money on music is something that many content owners somehow fail to grasp. They think that simple raising the price somehow magically ads some mysterious value. The more intelligent who are able to cut through propaganda know that isn’t the case. David Guetta’s iPhone app embraces technology and actually tries to be more than just a CD wrapped in an app. How does it fare…?

Label me a pirate. A renegade. A lawless scum who doesn’t care about intellectual property. That’s fine. I pay for music in one way or another. I have no qualms or regrets. Here in the states, intellectual property laws and policies are becoming increasingly anti-consumer, anti-artist, and are getting [...]

Ya, this is one of those times where I just need to keep words to a minimum and let the video do it’s thing. In case you can’t see the movie, in short: these leaked conceptual demos of Sony’s “Rachel” UI are stunning and give Android’s pathetic stock media capabilities a kick in the [...]

Ben and Jerry was one of my favorite cartoons growing up. For me, it was the whole stereotypical cat vs. mouse thing that always had me hooked. Now that I’m a big boy, (some may dispute that) I still watch cat and mouse drama every day. Except now it isn’t a cartoon. [...]

David who? Here in the states, this Paris born DJ and music producer may not ring a lot of bells. I have to say that I love sampling music from all of the world on a daily basis. While I haven’t sat down and listened to any of David’s work, I have [...]

Taking gadgets, old gadgets in particular, and creating new forms of art, machinery, and all out geekery is something that when executed correctly results in utter beauty. In the case of this modded PowerMac G4 Bike, it may not be beautiful in the traditional sense, though the fact that it draws your gaze upon [...]
