Nokia to shock & awe with Snapdragon powered wonder phone?

Nokia. What do you think of when you hear that world? For me, since my time on earth has so far been relatively short, all I think of is those free phones you get from carriers as they practically throw them at people walking by. Sure it creates huge numbers in both market share and profit categories on those little excel spreadsheets company accountants comb through on a daily basis, but it does nothing for that smaller minority of users who actually use and enjoy their phones. To Geeks, hardcore multiple smartphone wielding geeks, Nokia died many years ago (U.S.). The N900 table coming out next month is the first signs of life from the Finnish company that actually has me wanting this new departure for Nokia.

The N900 isn’t the only thing they’ve got up their sleeve mind you. Fresh rumors pegging a new, Snapdragon powered handset are surfacing leading many to do a double take when seeing that the company causing such a stir is Nokia. That econo-phone maker all of a sudden has one amazingly capable device set for release with a now second rumored device that could equally blow us away.

For now stats are pretty much nil with the Snapdragon bit the only real meat to go on. But it’s a savory piece of meat that we’re going to cherish until the full on buffet comes further down the line. Nokia, I never knew you, but keep it up and I may just become your friend.
