We originally looked at the Iron Samurai several months back when a price was still nothing but a mere dream. Try as I might, I can’t find that post anywhere to link back to. Believe me, I tried — really hard. But we really don’t need to go drumming up the past now do we. No. Instead, all we really wanted to know then was the price which now happens to be $15 from ChinaVision. I’m both excited and disappointed. Excited because it’s not $1k plus dollars that I though such a novelty watch would be. I’m also disappointed because it’s only $15. Highlighting the supposed metal construction and uber cool lighting effect all falling in under one (deceased though forever captured in paper) Andrew Jackson. Generally if something seems too good to be true — and this case too good of a deal — then it usually is. I was hoping for so much more. With my luck I’d go hog wild and order 5 of these things only to open the box upon arriving and realizing they’re spray painted plastic. Wonderful.
If you happen to find yourself perched atop a mental fence, reading the explanation on the product page (embedded below) is unlikely to sway you as the hyperbole laden collection of words is laughable at best.

Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal are said to be Iron Samurai owners, as is David Bowie and Brian Eno. In reality, this watch is perfect for Presidential dinner crashers, Facebook celebs with over 1000 fans, Youtube directors with over 2,000,000 views, anyone who can play the entirety of Neil Zaza’s I’m Alright on electric guitar, iPhone 3Gs owners, or anybody who is a somebody.
Someone’s trying just a little too hard wouldn’t you say? Now as a stocking stuffer it wouldn’t be so bad. I’m sure many nerds in training (read: the kiddies) wouldn’t mind the cheaper build quality. All they’re going to care about is the glowing red lights. Ready to purchase?
