I don’t know what your personal choices are when selecting a music player, but for me I tend to choose audio quality first and then everything else second. When I picked up my 1st gen iPod Touch, I was a bit bummed about the relatively puny 16GB of storage and just so-so audio quality. Still, the interface and the apps (which came along later) made it oh so worth it. Some people don’t want all of those bells and whistles however. To them, an audio player is just that — an audio player. For them, an iPod shuffle or other small, flash based player is the perfect option. Psst, I have a surprise for you. If you were having problems choosing between the iPod Shuffle and several other miniature flash players, I have one reason you should swing your vote to team Apple — iPod Shuffle Sushi Cases.

Keeping your iPod Shuffle scratch free and in pristine condition isn’t hard. Any pocket, bag, or body cavity would easily swallow the barely there player. Not to mention, I would normally jump on something such as iPod Shuffle sushi cases as too gimmicky and ultimately a waste of your money. However, Incipio generally pumps out some fairly high quality products. These Shuffle Sushi Cases (say that 8 times fast) are no exception and actually surprise me with their fit and finish and overall high quality appearance.

Even more impressive with the Shuffle Sushi cases is the price. $20 will net you three distinctly different sushi cases. Whether or not there are certain moods which fit better with one piece of sushi over the other is unbeknownst to me. Regardless, if I had an iPod Shuffle, I would definitely be picking up a pack of these cases. They’re just too cool to turn down. According to iLounge, the cases are going to be part of a limited run so it’s in your best interests to hop on this train while it’s in town.

Just remember, while the iPod Shuffle Sushi cases look rather tempting and would probably make me second guess as to their “realness” if I were experiencing a hunger caused hallucination, the packaging specifically states not to consume the cases. You know they put that there because someone, somewhere would actually try to eat one….
