Another day, another leaked BlackBerry UAProf document giving us a gaze inside the secretive world of next-gen BlackBerries. Today, we’re once again looking at the Pearl lineup as it makes it’s way into the 9xxx model line, specifically the 9105 BlackBerry. Based on previous inklings and screenshots of this 91xx slimmed down device as well as this new UAProf document, we can now see a bit more clearly. It appears that some carrier in some corner of the world will be receiving a BlackBerry 9105 with a “normal” T9 keypad as noted by the “PhoneKeypad” verbiage in the screenshot above. Normally, either “Qwerty” or “SureType” is present.
Yuck. For me, typing out anything on T9 sounds like a recipe for frustration and disaster. But apparently, RIM sees a market for this form factor/keyboard combo. Hey, whatever works I guess.
BlackBerry users: would you use a T9 BlackBerry?
