The 24″ screened GameBoy

If there was ever one thing about the GameBoys of years past that I’d have to find fault with, it would be the tiny screen. Ya, larger LCD screens at that time were cost prohibitive. But come on. Is another inch or two too much to ask for? Oh well, we move on, learn, and adapt.

Some adapt better than others as is evident by the video below. This crafty fellow didn’t give up on his GameBoy after years of neglect, making it into a wholly better product overall by adding video out to the bottom connector. If you’re wanting to try it yourself, it’s a relatively easy affair involving a few splicing of wires here and re-twisting of said wires there. If you’re looking to get into the world of tinkering, this would be one of the better places to start.
