Signal Strength should be a routine problem for most of the wireless internet users, be it Wi-Fi or Mobile Broadband. We would have tried changing location, reinstalled the connectivity software, updated patches or even change the devices. Also, many of us have even gone as far as calling tech support trying to fix the issue and usually not making much progress.

So if you’re looking for some quick fixes for poor wireless performance, hop inside…

My search for the same ended up discovering two odd, funny and successful methods of increasing the signal strength and speed of the connection. The steps below are practical, easy, and possible for anyone to try out.

The first video helps to increase the range of the 802.11 g wireless card using a mobile phone, Ethernet cable, paper foil and salad bowl (I am serious).

The second one demonstrates the increase in the signal reception of mobile broadband modem using a stainless steel bowl.

So there you have it — two simple, cheap mods that can get your wireless working better, faster, and more reliably in no time flat.

If you decide to try either of the two mods above out, be sure to let us know how your mileage goes.
